I'm mostly digital since 2012 anyway, but I still buy boxed PS4 exclusives at retail. Canceled my auto-renew and 3 game pre-orders on Amazon. The value prospect has been dropping for long enough. Also migrated my wishlist to Best Buy. They have price alerts anyway. I should have done that a while ago.

Going to be cancelling my Prime, now. I already had to use a calculator to determine if I would break even with the 20% Prime discounts, or not. At 10%, I am definitely not going to buy enough to pay for it.
On a side note, have there been any SNES Mini pre-orders, in Canada? I haven't been on this thread for a while.

Man dropping from 20% to 10% without notifying is such a low blow from Amazon. And our dollar is even getting better so wtf
Outside of price errors there hasn't been anything worthwhile vidya game-deal wise from Amazon for a while. I am only paying for Student Prime at the moment and the free one day shipping has been nice but my purchasing preference is slowly just moving over to BB, who are literally around the corner from me with their own dedicated online pick up desk

Amazon doesn't give a refund for time remaining on Prime, do they? I only just signed up in June 😕
I hope this stings Amazon a bit. I'll keep my Prime membership because gaming deals aren't the only reason I opted to get one (in fact, I may have joined before that deal became a thing). But this is crappy, either way.
It's something you could sort of see coming, the way they sort of screwed around with it ahead of (and during) E3. I wonder if the goal might be to make future version of those occasional deals less appealing for non-Prime customers as well (E3: 10% off, 20% for Prime?)

Cancelled my auto renew for Prime. With the direction Best Buy was already headed in before, I'm a 100% sure that GCU will not be showing up over here even at a higher price. Looks like Wal-mart $50 deals is all one can really hope for. Then just wait for games to drop in price after release rather than get them on release day.

Libraries are indeed the best. Shame that mine doesn't dabble in cartridge based games (I don't think they've figured out how to secure them), so no Switch loans for me (or 3DS, DS, Vita).

I demanded my money back in full, mostly just to signal that I was serious, and they gave me a full refund within 20 minutes or so. I signed up last year.
I'd love Amazon's customer service policies if the company wasn't always trying to deceive and cheat us.

They gave me a refund for the time remaining, you have to demand it tho. They didnt offer it up front.

Has Cogeco always made someone pay for a regular cable box?
I've had HDPVR's for years but took one in I wasn't using and decided I would just get the standard box but they said that its $5 a month for one.
Why the hell should someone who's paying monthly for cable be forced to pay $5 more just to be able to watch the damn thing.
