My Metroid Amiibo 2 pack came today, didn't even pay for express shipping or have prime xD they are so damn random with how they do business I swear

It says Carry Out Only & Online only, so you have to order online, and pick it up... Kind of defeats my laziness.

Trying to finish Metroid and Dishonored in a week to do the satisfaction return at EB for full credit back.

Then I need to finish Prey and Destiny 2 before the end of the month so I can do the double tradein.

Phew. So many quality games releasing week after week. Its been a mammoth of a year for quality game releases and its not even close to over.

October 27 is gonna be insane:

Mario Odyssey
Wolfenstein 2
Assassins Creed Origins

All on the same day. Lord give me strength to demolish this backlog.

Try checking your local coupons - I know for me they've kept the 50% off all pizza coupon (MON50P) active on Mondays, so I already knew what I was eating for supper tonight.

Of course, it's not valid as long as that one.

Fucking Amazon! They sent me my Metroid Amiibos in a bubble mailer, and the box got all banged up. I paid freaking $40 for this.

Whether you keep them in the box or not (I don't), a bubble mailer seems highly inappropriate for this. You can leave specific feedback for packaging comments in your amazon account.

Honestly, I'm not even sure if that would help. I've complained to them before and told them to ship this kind of stuff in a box. They give me the generic "we'll pass this info to our shipping department," only for my next package to show up the same way.

I'm hoping I can catch a restock at Best Buy (seems I just missed one, lol), so that I can send this back.

Someone on the discord said TRU has them in store. And I saw some at WM. Better than risking shipping damage.

Today was a good day for preorders, it would be nice if all these special editions and amiibo preorders stayed open for a whole day It would be so much better for everyone. We shouldn't have to go through 1 minute sellouts like the super nes shit.

I'm gonna trade in the copy of Destiny 2 that was bundled with my white PS4 Pro.

Anyone not trading in their copy want the digital content stuff (expansion 1, expansion 2, an exotic weapon, etc.) that came with it?

It seems like I missed both the FEW and XBC2 Special Edition pre-orders at Amazon but honestly, given the price, that's probably a good thing. I have both pre-ordered for cheap, thanks to the previous E3 + Prime stacking discount, so I'd be spending +$80 or so more each for the Special Edition. I probably would have bitten on it, since I'm a sucker for these things anyway, but due to Nintendo not being able to adequately supply anything, I guess that took away that temptation.

Thanks for saving me money, Nintendo. Standard Edition it is!

Oh, I know. I just kind of wanted to grab it at Amazon, since I'd save a bit with it since I'm still a Prime member (at least until November).

As I mentioned, it's probably for the best anyway, since I have been trying to cut back on my SE pre-orders, and considering I have both FEW and XBC2 pre-ordered for a little over $50 each, it'd be quite the cost upgrade to go for the Special Editions. The extra items look nice, but not sure they'd be worth the additional $80 I'd have to pay for each. :(

Probably a good idea.

I received the LE of Utawarerumono Mask of Truth last week and, surprise, it came dented into an envelope. I'm expecting my SE of Samus Returns tomorrow and I'm fully expecting it to be banged up to hell and back. Granted, it's shipping with the Samus/Metroid Amiibo, as well as Mary Skelter, so I'm hoping they sent it out in a box instead of stuffing everything into an oversized envelope.

...It's probably going to be sent in an oversized envelope.

There's a small chance I might get the Xeno CE from EB (if I can) because I still have that $60 left over from my DS3 trade-ins. The CE really does look damn appealing... for $130...

What do you guys do with all these Collectors Editions?

I find they take up so much space and just clutters the room. The only two CEs I bought this gen were Persona 5 and Odin Sphere Leifthrasir because they included a substantial amount of bonuses for just $20-$30 more and are a little practical (Persona 5 has a bag I can use, Odin Sphere included a tshirt I can wear)

Ive even stopped buying amiibo due to the clutter. I have a shelf of like 10 and thats it, no more.
