1 con? It's over.

Some battleground races I'll be watching closely when the results from the Maritimes (outside of the Newfoundland/Labrador blowouts) start rolling in at 7:30 pm Eastern...

- Central Nova
- New Brunswick Southwest
- Saint John--Rothesay
- Tobique--Mactaquac

Of the four, the one I'm most interested in might be New Brunswick Southwest where John Williamson is the established incumbent for the Conservatives. He should hold serve... but if he doesn't... oh boy.

If Saint John--Rothesay isn't Weston I'll literally go and jump into Lake Ontario. I just don't see it happening, we keep re-electing him because the majority of people back home will only vote conservative now. I had a family member recite the "Just isn't ready" line to me a few days ago when I phoned home to check in.

The cons should make guy giorno a candidate. He is way more articulate than 90% of their mps. I'm starting to see why they have been so successful these last 10 years.

Iggy was ineffective and got destroyed by the Conservatives' negative ads. Blue Liberal voters in Ontario were so scared of a surging NDP that they went Conservative en masse and gave Harper a majority.

Awww, a CPC seat in Atlantic Canada. Boo!

Thanks. I can barely remember any of it. It's all a blur. This fills in some blanks

I recently moved away from Ottawa, but I spent 3 years there and there are more Shawarma restaurants per block than anything else. It's crazy.

Also, surprisingly, very little Tim Hortons' there.

yeah I drive through the city a bunch of times and man they just pile up

I ask people about it and they tell me the closer it is in their area the better

FYI, New Brunswick Southwest has been a hold for the Tories since it was reconfigured in 1997. Losing it for the first time after 18 years... would be a big surprise.

Ottawa has Shawarma Poutine now too

shocked I say

I had a co worker who studied and lived in Ottawa who raved about Shawarmas there. I find good Shawarmas in Toronto are hard to come by. Luckily I found a few that no one surprisingly knows about. Shawarma Poutine sounds so good right now even though I just finished eating. I know a place 15mins away that has Jerk Shawarma.
