Some battleground races I'll be watching closely when the results from the Maritimes (outside of the Newfoundland/Labrador blowouts) start rolling in at 7:30 pm Eastern...
- Central Nova
- New Brunswick Southwest
- Saint John--Rothesay
- Tobique--Mactaquac
Of the four, the one I'm most interested in might be New Brunswick Southwest where John Williamson is the established incumbent for the Conservatives. He should hold serve... but if he doesn't... oh boy.
The results in Jack Harris' riding are surprisingly close, so far.
Iggy was ineffective and got destroyed by the Conservatives' negative ads. Blue Liberal voters in Ontario were so scared of a surging NDP that they went Conservative en masse and gave Harper a majority.
Awww, a CPC seat in Atlantic Canada. Boo!
Probably advance polls. Not buying that will hold. But if it does... Justin is looking REALLY good.Liberals have a lead in NB Southwest
Oh shit
I recently moved away from Ottawa, but I spent 3 years there and there are more Shawarma restaurants per block than anything else. It's crazy.
Also, surprisingly, very little Tim Hortons' there.
Libs: 12 (5 elected, 7 leading)
NDP: 1 (leading)
Cons: 1 (leading)
Radio-Canada has a really great web page for following the election. There's even an actively-updated comment section.

Ottawa has Shawarma Poutine now too
shocked I say

That puts the Liberals as tied with their current Atlantic Canada seats.
NDP has overtaken the Liberals somewhere.
Is Olivia Chow running for NDP?
15 liberal seats in atlantic now...
Acadie-Bathurst I think
