In other news, Pat Martin, the asshole NDP in Winnipeg that called the Green a son of a bitch lost his seat to Liberals. He just got bodied.

As an Aussie, who are the people who are analogous to figures in Australian politics from Canadian politics.
All I know is that the Canadian equivalent of Tony Abbott is Harper? (I think) and that he's in the process of being ousted. Are the liberals essentially the same as the labor party over here?

Tony Abbot is way worse than Stephen Harper. Liberals are in the centre. I believe NDP = Labour.
