I cannot believe the audacity of Harper blaming the Alberta NDP on the Alberta deficit.

Ugh, I'm waiting for the wife to get home to watch this with her but hearing he did this really pisses me off. I had to fight back the urge to explode on someone's Facebook status the other day about this shit. Ultimate scumbag.

Was getting caught part of your plan?
Really, the best thing that can happen now is for Mulcair to rips his face off to reveal he is Layton.

This part of the debate is kind of baffling. How does Trudeau respond to Mulcair talking about his bio?

He's basing it on an assumption of 2% growth (right now, we're projected for 1%) and $60/barrel oil (we're at $45, and the outlook for the future isn't good).

Sorry, reading back and I might not have been clear, but fukk balanced budgets. Or at least there needs to be an understanding there's more to proper fiscal responsibility than making sure that managing an organic, shifting economy means more than seeing the numbers on both sides of the ledger always cancel out.

Just in a delivery, image sense, I feel Trudeau is falling apart in the second half. Just rushing his answer, tripping over words, sounding desperate.

Mulcair and Harper seem cool and collected in comparison.

I'm not a fan of the moderation in this debate.

I'm not sure I agree with those saying Harper is winning, I do agree he is able to sit back and stick to his plan, but I don't think his message of things are ok right now is how Canadians feel.

Trudeau is doing well enough at differentiating himself, but I wish he would discuss in more depth how is investments would grow the economy. I agree with the sentiment that government investment is important for the growth of Canada in theory, but I wish I had a clearer picture of what exactly his investments are going into other than transit.

Other notes:
- Is Mulcair trying to be a comedian? Most jokes aren't hitting. Especially that old pot smoking joke. Weren't the NDP once in favour of legalization.
- The Moderator is inserting himself too much into this debate.
- Trudeau needs to breathe

I'm surprised Harper isn't pointing out that the Liberals and the NDP not only supported the stimulus program, but damn near forced him to run it.

Trudeau is actually Pierre's consciousness implemented into a host body

Harper is actually wearing a toupe or something iunno

The toupee is covering something...

I feel like this is the fourth time the question has essentially been "What are you gonna do to make the economy better?" I wonder why we keep hearing the same damn talking points! At least switch to a different topic so we can hear the OTHER talking points

It's a debate on the economy. But this is the problem with a one topic debate that's this long. :/

It's an "economic" debate -- so no switching coming this evening.
