Captain America: Civil War - Final Trailer

Thanks for the responses guys. Wonder why the prices of the MCU are so high all the time. The Blurays for Cap 1 and 2 are over $20 each.

Blu-Ray's always tend to be expensive. If you have Netflix and the right region, I'm pretty sure both the first two Cap movies are available.
All of the MCU Blurays are $10 here in Denmark. They're always getting cheap here.

Anyway, those numbers seem very low.

He's a bit bulkier than Ultimate Spidey.

He basically looks like this....but.....I really wish he didn't have the black stripes on the arms and legs. I love everything else, but I hate those stripes.

Those black stripes will serve as a visual distinction between the suit he starts out with in his third film series and the one Stark hooks him up with.

Basically adds another action figure to store shelves.

I don't know if this means anything, but the Q&A done yesterday had RDJ say only recently was he being pitched ideas about Infinity War, which implies Tony would be involved. Or maybe not.

Deadmen don't tell tales....

But I'm sure they have acting duties in other dimensions.....

This is where a Doctor Strange gif would go if I had one......so instead...

Seriously, THIS GUY is playing Doctor Strange ohmygodIcantfuckingbelievethis.

IronMan 1 isn't really needed, everything you need to know about Ironman and Captain America relationship is available in Avengers movie. Ironman origin didn't have anything to do with Captain America at all. so you can safely skip Ironman 1.

although it is a good movie so you should watch it if you can.

I feel like it's kind of important to establish each of their personalities separately before introducing them together in the Avengers, where they clash. Otherwise, Tony just seems like Steve's antagonist by default. I think it's also interesting to track the change in Tony's attitude toward independence and responsibility from the first Iron Man through to Civil War.

Plus, as ground zero for the MCU, I think it's kind of essential no matter how many of its plot points are carried over or not into the other films.

Can't wait for Batman v Superman to state the Metropolis battle had the deaths of 200 people and no more. Seriously, the low number just bugs me for some reason.

MCU Spiderman really isn't that bulky, I think the camera angle give it the impression that he's bulkier than he is
FEwUFXu.jpg

that's a pretty good size for Spiderman imo
When you see it like that, the size and proportions looks perfect. Not too lanky, not too built. Exactly how I remember Spidey's build from art and such

The Chitauri invasion was mostly property damage, I guarantee most of those deaths were probably from when the first Leviathans entered the fray. The fighting was mostly centered around Stark Tower where they were coming in from and the team prioritized protecting civilians. They would have been a lot higher for example if they didn't save that busload of people or Cap didn't rescue the people being held in that bank.

I take comfort in thinking of the suit as, figuratively, another selectable costume in the N64 games, and suddenly I love everything about it.

He basically looks exactly like this....but.....I really wish he didn't have the black stripes on the arms and legs. I love everything else, but I hate those stripes.

So he looks a bit bulkier than a grown adult man...you're not really helping your case when he's suppose to be a kid

Wait, this is total garbage:

There's no way the Chitauri invasion ONLY caused 18 billion in damages and only killed 74 people.

2 billion and 23 dead? No fucking way, a shit ton of people died.

Oh come on.

I'm guessing those are the casualties caused by Avenger-actions, because Daredevil had the Chitauri invasion casuaties in the hundreds.

Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst just sucked that much. I cannot accept their buffoonery.

Their "buffoonery" wasn't really "Jim Carrey as the Riddler levels of wacky" now was it?

I can understand that you didn't like them, but to make the reference you did seems a tad over the top.

But I love it when you drop info nuggets!
Can't wait for the next batch.
Want to hear anything about FFXIIHD, but I know you probably can't really.

On Topic: I can't wait to see the Russos follow up to Winter Soldier with all of these Superhero cards in play! And Spider-Man looks great, and will look better in motion and on the big screen. Character wise a viewer will just have to give him an honest chance to grow on them because he will be different if he's 16-17.

Should be a fun popcorn flick in the vein of what is was like with Avengers 1 with us seeing them join up for the first time.

I really can't wait for that first scene in that's akin to Thor "dropping the hammer" on Caps shield and the energy blowing all three of them and a crap ton of trees down. That moment was out of nowhere and awesome.

Want to see Spider-Man actually have some crazy battles with someone on Caps side or to team up with someone and do some kind of dual attack!

I love seeing the posts from the people that actually read the comics.

Seeing a few pages back, somebody posted the post Civil War conversation between Stark and Thor. I seriously hope that scene happens. It just fits with what they're doing in Phase 3. I don't think we'll be seeing Ragnarok (the character) in this movie, though.

We might get a Spider-Man fly-by past Dr. Strange's place, too. So excited.

my only gripe about the black stripe is that it goes all the way to the back side

that tiny red space between black and blue didn't look that good imo.

When I was a teen, I knew fourteen-year olds bulkier than that. Some of them looked like they were twenty. Anyway, Spidey has always been extremely strong. It's one of the reasons baddies like Ock could never believe he's just a kid for so long. He can lift tons off of himself if he needs to.

Him being a kid is also the reason so many ITT underestimate his tech genius. He could re-build his suit in a cave with a box of scraps. He's tried to sell his inventions in the comics, and either nobody would buy them, or he changed his mind and didn't want them ending up in the wrong hands.

Since Spidey's suit we see is likely Stark built in some way, if I had to guess, maybe it'll get a slight cosmetic change (and ditch the black stripes) after Spidey

Do we know if the costume he shows up in in the trailer Tony's contribution or what he starts out with?

I'm just spitballing here, but the lines on the costume are similar to those of the other heroes. The shoulder stripes especially evoke a feeling of militarism.

I'm guessing Stark tells Spider-Man he can't be seen running around in his underoos and hooks him up with a new uniform.

I'm more thinking that the current suit with black stripe is really what Peter make himself. including the eye lens mechanic. if Peter can make web shooter all by himself, I can believe that he can make the eye lens himself too.

it just seems like Tony Stark will never make a costume like that himself, if he's making a costume for Spiderman, he'll go all out and give him a suit of armor, not just simple cloth fabric with fancy eye lens.

Have they said anything about identities yet? I wonder if Peter's identity will be important like in the comic.
Highly doubt Peter's identity will be revealed, and the way the registration act is handled here seems a lot different from the comics. Plus all of SHIELD's files being leaked at the end of Winter Soldier basically means of the actual Avengers, pretty much none of them have a secret identity.

Oh true. Forgot about Winter Soldier doing that.

An interesting point someone brought up way earlier in the thread about it looking as though someone other than Bucky shoots Rhodey.

Maybe Zemo, Crossbones, Hyrda et al are operating in such a way that it makes it look to Team Cap and Team Iron Man that the other is attacking them.

Say for instance using the above example, Tony sees a shot take WM down as they're leaving the airport, assumes it was Team Cap and goes on the offensive. The shot where Bucky tries to assassinate Tony is a clone (like people have been speculating in that tube thing) and not the real guy. Cap thinks the soldiers hunting Bucky are part of Team Iron Man when they're not and so on. Ross could (is likely) involved in the shenanigans also encouraging Tony to go further and further.

It gives both teams valid motivations to want to fight against the other without it (figuratively) assassinating their characters (they're just being manipulated) and allows for a big reveal of the true villains in the 3rd act.
Since Zemo is stil under wraps I am thinking something like that too.

Well done. I think it will be great when it isn't symmetrical as well. It will give him more expressions.

I really hope they didn't have asymmetrical look for the lenses. it'll look too silly. I assume the in universe explanation for the lens mechanic is not for Spidey to express himself to other people.

for the same reason, I hope the eye didn't animate like in every other shot, like going bigger when he's surprised etc. I hope it'll just animate when it's used for something like when he need to zoom in further or something.

I figure it is just mimicking his eyes/eyebrows.

We want different things!

2 years awa from Infinity War..

Are we really going to see The Defenders make an appearance in the MCU? Has this been confirmed anywhere?

How would DD's and Captain Amerca's stunt double fight himself..

Yeah, it's bothering me too. I mean, the Battle of New York or whatever it's called should at least have a few thousand dead -- there were armies of alien aircraft opening fire on the streets during the middle of the day, alien soldiers launching into buildings and firing freely and enormous whale-snake things literally crashing through buildings in downtown New York. I mean, surely you'd be looking at about 100x the casualties they've listed at best case scenario?!

As for the WS casualties, if they're talking about non-SHIELD personnel then it might just about be plausible - they didn't open fire did they, and the ships basically crashed back into the SHIELD base, right? And the Sokovia thing is maybe just about plausible to me, as the team put most of their effort into saving lives, and the robots seemed for the most part more concerned about fighting the Avengers than hurting civilians. Still, I'd find it more plausible if it were a bit higher.
