Why does Captain America come off as the villain in this trailer..? Normally Tony would fit that bill pretty well, but here I see the guy lose his best friend, most likely to the guy who killed his parents and his friend turning on him to help that same murderer.

Feels weird. I was #TeamCaptain but definitely don't feel like his decisions from this trailer justify the means. Don't make me shift to #TeamTony. Definitely will be an interesting conflict.

All I want for this movie is to drop the last third of the movie doomsday crap. Fight all you want, but keep the stakes small. I don't want to see them saving the world in every. damn. movie.

Ant Man was a delight in that regard and had the best third act of most of the Marvel Movies. Winter Soldier was really good until they launched the 3 Heli-Carriers and it became a CGI fest for the end where everyones live was at stake again.
The characters are good enough to carry the movie - even through a final where they don't have to safe the world.

That said, the trailer looks nice - even if I still don't buy them fighting their issues out.
So in my head for this to work needs a serious, personal reason for Stark to fight against Cap. Could War Machine be killed by accident by Bucky and Tony can't get over Cap standing by Bucky's side?

Bucky assassinated Howard Stark. That sounds like that's plenty enough reason for Tony to fight Cap.

1) Cap is a vigilante? I guess if you define a vigilante as a WW2 soldier or engage in SHIELD-sanctioned black ops missions.

2) Stark can go toe to toe with Thor and yet has trouble with Bucky and Cap. Iron arms and mighty shields shouldn't be shit to an iron suit

I suppose. I think I enjoyed it because I know what it's leading tk, with the additional hype of BvS giving me that action (with what I admit are my preferred heroes) so it helped with the 2 second fight over Vision.

Action looks promising, I hope the reasons and resolutions are good around it.

It's pretty fun. Not great, but good? Gaf will tell you it is history's worst thing ever but honestly AoU is a fun but flawed movie, nothing horribly wrong with that

At least watch it it keep up with the canon. Same with Ant-Man.

This is a first trailer and I don't think you can really discuss things like this because we can't answer them unless we read the script or see the film. I don't think they're implying that Cap is a literal vigilante, but he has been operating without proper supervision, which will lead to the new, stricter SHIELD lead by Stark. And as for the second point, we see Bucky damaging Iron Man's reactor, so that might suggest why he was barely able to defend himself. On the other hand, it's only a five second clip and we don't have proper context, so who knows how the whole thing plays out.

Rhodey is actually on Steves side.

That would be a more interesting twist the Black Widow being the double agent.
