I don't like the colors in this movie, too "srs bsness" tv series for me. In fact I don't even think that the Russo are very good, they just made a movie out of the best Captain America story.

Cannot agree with thay the Winter Soldier imo is still the best MCU movie to this date.

Why do I get the feeling this is the part where Spidey is going to make this a fair fight.

Spidey is a teenager in this movie. You think he wants to jump in a beatdown with the world's greatest soldier and a legendary killer with an Android arm?

Get the fuck out of here. Teen Parker would NOPE right out of there.

2016 gonna be like

No matter his age teen or not, Spidey would be fine against them. People forget how strong spidey really is. He has super human strength like cap but I think spideys stronger.

Gonna snap those pics for JJJ, who better still be played by J.K. Simmons. Anyone else playing him is wrong

Jesus M. Christ, its just another cash grab movie series and not particularly smart ones.

Sometimes I wonder if people lose touch of reality in these threads.
Lol I was intentionally being over the top at the impact of this film but I do think it's going to be a huge event.

We have never seen anything like this before in the history of cinema. Like them or love them but marvel has created a hugely successful universe of characters over a tonne of movies and TV shows and to have them all culminate into a 2 part movie is a huge task and something they have so far been excelling at.

What marvel have managed to do is groundbreaking in scope, ambition and success which is something a lot of haters seem to overlook.

Just imagine the promotional work for infinity wars - over a decade in the making, tonnes of well developed and cherished characters, all coming together for the biggest threat the Galaxy has ever seen. That is going to create some serious buzz.

it's not really what I was waiting for, there is nothing from the Civil War from the comics but whatever, looks ok for now, hype decreased as fuck.

Yup. In the comics he can Lift/press 20 tons as a baseline. He's been known to hold the weight of entire skyscrapers on his shoulders when required.

Spidey could squash all of them if he wanted to.

Speculation time!

So that's team Cap:

Ant-Man won't join the fight imo, Cap just hired him to steal some tech/intel or whatever. He doesn't have any reason to fight for them (especially against authority).

Black Widow is in between, helping/warning Cap while staying officially on the team hunting Buck. There's a scene of her fighting goons/police though. edit: and she's at the German airport.

Team Stark wasn't shown in one shot. In the scene above Team Cap goes up against Iron Man and War Machine and for some reason Black Panther fights Buck. Probably for personal reasons and technically not teaming up with Stark.

Vision seems like a character that would sit that fight out, otherwise he would be in that fight on the airfield (unless they just didn't show him).

I can see Spider-man joining in late, possibly trying to heal the rift between the two teams. But I feel this movie is positioned to have consequences to influence the next Avengers movie, so no happy end all around (kinda like Winter Soldier).
This is a Cap movie so it will be from his perspective, the audience more or less should root for the underdogs trying to evade police etc. so I guess Team Cap will be captured/defeated one by one to create tension, followed by the finale (see Spider-man).

When is X-Men: Apocalypse coming out?
Has Fox anything else in the pipeline for 2016?
Fox has X-Men and Deadpool. That's it.

Meanwhile, Marvel has Civil War, Doctor Strange, Daredevil Season 2, Luke Cage and of course Agents Of Shield and maybe Damage Control?

DC has BvS, Suicide Squad, Gotham (ugh), Supergirl, more Arrow and Flash along with Legends Of Tomorrow.

Fox is getting dunked on

Oh, I know all about marvel. Just trust me on this one.

Not really a strength argument, but a skill and experience one. Adult Parker got lit the fuck up by Cap in civil war. And that was with the iron spider gear.

Remove 16 years of combat experience and throw Bucky in. THAT spider man wouldn't get anywhere near those two.

Oh ok makes sense. I wasn't taking skill and experience into that account.

even Arrowverse is enough to dunked on Fox

Yeah I can see Gambit being delayed.

It's basically only the small screen where Fox doesn't have a presence. 2016 is interesting because the three players all have 2 major pictures coming out. Going to be fun watching it all play out.

I don't know man, as a comic book fan this is like heaven for me.

If people are getting sick of them they don't have to watch it.

Damn, I didn't realize Panther was outrunning Cap in that tunnel chase.

Fox is actually putting out two tangentially X-Men related tv shows in the next year or so.

I'm probably watching all of these in theaters except deadpool and gambit. I don't think there will be much "superhero" fatigue, but it will make people compare studios more.
Oh and Doctor Strange may or may not bomb because of all the movies preceding it since it's new and not very popular.

Jesus M. Christ, its just another cash grab movie series and not particularly smart ones.

Sometimes I wonder if people lose touch of reality in these threads.

that doesn't even make sense, of course they hope to make money off of the films, and i dont think you even comprehend what he means by "magical" but it sure seems as though fans of the properties are going to be very pleased just like all other major properties get hype about a film based on them. Harry Potter, Hunger Games, BvS etc etc ec

maybe youre reality needs some reprioratization , in the end its all entertainment , he is fully entitled to use the word magical to describe his hope for an upcoming film, based on his enjoyment of the Russo's past work.

So Cap is in the wrong, right? He is helping a fugitive killer who is responsible for some of the most terrible acts of assassination in the last 60-70 years?

Weather Bucky is innocent or not (because of brainwash), it is for a judge to decide and not for Cap.

Is it just me or could Cap just hand Bucky over to the authorities and avoid this conflict altogether?

Premise seems kind of stupid. I haven't read the comics though.

Ant-Man crossed $500 million, Doctor Strange has some great chances, especially with Cumberbatch in the lead role.

I don't think so.

I think you'll have your casual Batman fans gravitating towards BvS and Suicide Squad, casual Marvel fans going for Civil War, Doctor Strange, and X-men: Apocalypse.

They'll ignore everything else unless it gets amazing reviews or word of mouth.

Hardcore fans will see everything, but they do that regardless.

Oh God is Doctor Strange the new "Marvel's first bomb" after Ant-Man turned out to be a success?

Because lol no. Dat cast

Wonder how the chronology of the trailer scenes with Tony are. He has a black eye during all of the segments he's in the Iron Man suit but the one where he's conversing with Steve he doesn't have it.

I see that line-up, and then I think back to the nineties.... by the gods, how we've come.

Russo Brothers have me optimisitc. Not a big fan of the Marvel movies, but I found the action in Winter Soldier to be pretty satisfying.

That's not how directing works. You are thinking of writing - and goddamn, was the plot not the reason to enjoy that movie.

...people will get tired of predicting coming book fatigue finally? it's been a few years now.

btw there's probably some idependent comic book films coming out next year too thats not even all of them. isn't TMNT2 coming next year?
