That’s the idea, his running for his life, same reason why survival horror games needs to be difficult.
The real concern for me is the fact the online is still busted, carrying on from the JP version, and Atlus doesn't give a damn.
I can't in good conscience support this release, despite my love for the game. Atlus' radio silence from both sides, frankly, pisses me off.
Actually it does not "X Enhance" the game, it is simply backwards compatible with the lower res 360 version. Full body would have been the ticket for Xbox 4kThat and the fact that for whatever reason this is not (so far) coming out for the PC and the XB1X (which plays the original Cat in glorious 4K) are rather disappointing developments.
Its just that i prefer relaxing puzzle games instead of frenetic ones like Catherine.
Oh for fuck's sake. Really!? I get that the Vita isn't super popular but that's just annoying. Well...guess I'm importing it at some point then.Playstation Vita (JP only)

mekes - did you pick it up? Curious to see another “legacy” Catherine player’s opinion.
I actually like new puzzles in the Remix version, even on Normal difficulty some of the part is difficult because of the new block. I LOVED Catherine when it originally came out and I’m loving the Full Body.I finally picked up a copy of this today. Got the Heart's Desire Premium Edition. Usually I don't care or like steelbooks that much, but the art on this steelbook is fantastic. I really like it.
How's the game been for those who have played it? I've been wondering if the new content was enough to warrant a new purchase for someone who played it a bunch when it first came out. It's been years since I played the original, so I was kinda looking forward to going through those puzzles again.
When you start the game it ask you if you want classic puzzle or Remix, in remix you have new type of block that change up the puzzles. Can someone tell me what the main gameplay differences are (in terms of Golden Playhouse, Babel, Rapunzel, etc.). I already fully completed everything the original game had to offer and just wanted to know if the additional features are enough to warrant a purchase at full price or if I should wait for sale. I did enjoy the original quite a bit, but I would rather not pay $60 to replay essentially the same game again.
Crazy. I'll probably play it like that, even though I suck at the puzzles lol. When you start the game it ask you if you want classic puzzle or Remix, in remix you have new type of block that change up the puzzles.
Does that block make it harder? Cause I'll just play it default again. I played game on easy cause I sucked and I still loved it.When you start the game it ask you if you want classic puzzle or Remix, in remix you have new type of block that change up the puzzles.
Well in one hand you make nice support for yourself without pulling bunch of blocks but in other hand bunch other block will lose support and fall off. I would say in normal difficulty it isn’t too bad.Does that block make it harder? Cause I'll just play it default again. I played game on easy cause I sucked and I still loved it.
The reality is most Japanese developers rather release their games on PS4 or Switch because those systems are the ones selling well in Japan. Most people who are interested in Japanese games already have PS4 or Switch or even PS4 + Switch combo.I have recently replayed this game on Xbox One, with an evil ending. I really like it.
I don't know if I will be able to play it in English on anything else than PS4 though. That"s annoying. I am wondering if I should finally invest in a PS4 because of the Japanese games that are stacking and have my interest.
I do have the Switch, but it is not turning as good as I had hoped. Seeing Sega/Atlus not announcing games like Catherine, Persona 5 or Sakura Wars on Switch as well is extremely perplexing. I don't understand these decisions. Not even talking about the picture quality on this console, with blurry games and 30fps max most of the time. The reality is most Japanese developers rather release their games on PS4 or Switch because those systems are the ones selling well in Japan. I bought Switch for exclusives games like Astral Chain, Bayonetta, Daemon X Machina, Xenoblade, SMTV and Fire Emblem and PS4 for Japanese games that Switch doesn’t get. Unfortunately no other than Nocturne, SMT will mostly will be exclusive to Nintendo same way Persona is to PlayStation.I still believe SMTV will come to Playstation later.
So it's not actually new layouts for the stages? I don't understand, is that a new block or is it just cosmetic for indication that that specific pattern is changed from the original? Do the gold prizes unlock for both individually or are they shared? When you start the game it ask you if you want classic puzzle or Remix, in remix you have new type of block that change up the puzzles.
It is not cosmetic, it a new block and layout out is different thanks to those blocks. Also Gold prize is separate between Classic and Remix. So it's not actually new layouts for the stages? Very true, the new block that are attached to each other that you pull all them at once can make some stage very tricky to get through. There's basically four stage layouts now: regular Normal, regular Hard, regular Remix, and Hard remix.
Hard remix is super difficult, and this is coming from someone who platinumed the first game(and regularly gets bodied at the tournaments, lol).
Changes were made to the localization to adjust problematic lines from the original, but I don't know what was kept and what wasn't.Nearing the end of my first play through, it so different .
Is there anyway of playing the Original Story in this?
AlsoI've notice there's no hints about Erica being dude, if anything they seem to be suggesting shes an actual girl now, this new?
Then again it may come later and I'm misremembering when in the game it was.
Well I can’t say anything about the story without spoiler but when she is on Nightmare world she helps you out by slowing down the rate blocks falling. How does Rin affect the overall story compared to the original? Never played either version, so please no spoilers.
But does she cuddle with the original story in negative ways?Well I can’t say anything about the story without spoiler but when she is on Nightmare world she helps you out by slowing down the rate blocks falling.
I personally liked the character, so it mostly depends on you.But does she cuddle with the original story in negative ways?
I was more wondering if for example any of the cutscenes or other points of story have been altered to accomodate her inclusion.I personally liked the character, so it mostly depends on you.
There are some changes but Rin will be more involved to the story depends on your choice.I was more wondering if for example any of the cutscenes or other points of story have been altered to accomodate her inclusion.
They integrate her as if she was originally there, cut scenes, and gameplay, she's can also effect the endings.I was more wondering if for example any of the cutscenes or other points of story have been altered to accomodate her inclusion.
You can put three times that into this game just trying to master the higher difficulties and see the alternate endings.I am on the fence for buying this its 52.00 at Target, I just dont want to spend that money for a 10 hour game, lately I have been holding off on buying games that seem short ( Link's awakening) at full price. especially since black friday I foresee this game going down to 30.00, I never played the original, and persona 5 is one of my favorite games of all time. I need some assurance
It was found on a Korean ratings board or something, right? It's probably real if so.There are rumors for a possible Nintendo switch versión.
If there is truth. It was found on a Korean ratings board or something, right? It's probably real if so.
You have ps4 version? Don't see to get it need to again it be same on switch gameIf there is truth.
