CBOAT has come upon us, and it's a madhouse! There's rioting in the streets! Juniors, cut down left and right! It's pandemonium I tell you, pandemonium!
Anyway, not much in the way of real surprises this time. Having been following the hardware discussions and seeing the current set of games and their target resolutions for the Xbone, 720p/900p is p. much expected by this point. Seeing the 2014 bit, and famousmortimer weighing in on that bit on top of that, lends more weight to the notion of a 2014 release, though it's interesting that apparently they might've launched some time mid-year instead of near the holidays. I'm kinda wondering now, given the talk of potential subsidy plans for the Xbone, particularly with that recent Bonus Round video, if that might still be on the table and was just meant to be hammered out much closer to a 2014 launch date. If so, the idea might have gone something like, "if there's a subsidy plan it doesn't matter if we launch much earlier in the year because people will see a cheap new console and be plenty willing to get it straight away." They'd have Halo 5 for the holiday hype train anyway, so probably not much worry about not being able to stir interest back up by the end of the year anyhow.
That said, I am concerned about the following:
wehn hw is out in wild you wil se wat I meant about isues. puclocks too. Risk evwyerhwere. this palce is ntus.
Not sure what to get out of this, particularly that "Risk everywhere" bit. Some are saying RROD 2.0... I still can't wrap my head around the idea that MS would go through that
again when the first time around was such an expensive money sink, not to mention the erosion of consumer confidence in the hardware. Maybe there's some other hardware related issues that'll crop up in some other ways, I've no idea.
Little over a month until both systems hit the streets... Gonna be a carnival when they land, heh.
