Have you ever heard an Australian speak? She may be from Australia, but on VD she is very obviously doing a British accent.

I hope that when VD ends CW will somehow get Ian Somerhalder to play some superhero/supervillain in Arrowverse.

Had it been powergirl. Maybe we have something here. But, a standalone super girl show. I don't know ComicGAF.
I have no idea about her behaviour but the more I thought about her as Kara the less I liked it

She's listed as 5'5 which isn't too tiny. She is stacked though. Aimee Teegarden would work too, if I were to CW-ify the casting. But I don't think CBS wants to harm their viewers that have high blood pressure or enlarged prostates....

This isn't going to be like any comic Supergirl because in this universe there is no Superman. Effectually Supergirl IS Superman. That vastly changes things.
Not to mention this is from the Arrow & The Flash team of writers. They know what they are doing here.

She definitely looks the part. I love that she's a trained fighter

I think that's a misfire. Kara requires a hint of playfulness and cuteness to her. You want to care for her but you could also feel safe in her arms.
