2077 to be shown running on the Next XBox.
I just watched the 48 minute stream last night for the very first time in 4K on my TV. The assets, lighting, and atmosphere looked phenomenal, I just hope they worked on the animations more to blend it all together.
You going PC or console?
After watching Alita, it made me go back to watch that long gameplay demo again, it's like a cross between Blade Runner and Alita. I really like the detailed narration about what's going on in the gameplay demo, the concept and story is soo my thing. You can all get an early preview by watching Alita. It's like Cyber Punk the movie.
is this a PS4 game or will be PS5? hope is the later to get better graphics /ambient and framerates.

Also, Altered Carbon on Netflix is another good thing to watch if you like all this sort of future tech sci-fi stuff.
Before directing The Witcher 3, he worked as lead quest designer, senior designer, and lead gameplay designer on The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, and designer on the original The Witcher, which also marked the beginning of his career in 2004 as QA tester.
The game has a new "design director", namely Konrad Tomaszkiewicz.
why would it be "handicapped by current gen"?. the game is being primarily developed for PC not consoles. even if you buy the next gen Playstation/Xbox it'll still be "handicapped".Just please be next gen, I don't want this game handicapped by current gen. I get that they have to release it on current gen for sales but just let it launch on next gen as well.
A game that launches on both PC and consoles is always limited to the consoles' power. They don't make special higher polygon models and backgrounds for the PC version, the game is limited to what the consoles can churn out. The PC version will have extra eye candy effects, higher res textures, better post processing and of course the ability to run at higher resolutions and framerates, but the core game assets are limited by the consoles whether you want to believe it or not.why would it be "handicapped by current gen"?. the game is being primarily developed for PC not consoles. even if you buy the next gen Playstation/Xbox it'll still be "handicapped".
Red Engine is designed to work on both current gen and next gen consoles so the game will be able to run just fine on either generation of hardware. It's not like the next gen will be held back. All versions will have the same features. If they do release a current gen + next gen version then the only difference will be graphics/performance. they'll likely target 1080p 30fps for PS4/XB1, 1440/1800p 30fps for Pro/X, native 4K 30fps (maybe an unlocked framerate too) for next gen, and of course on PC the game will only be held back by whatever hard you have. you want to play at 8K 144fps? you could if you had the hardware.

I think witcher-universe game (I don't think it will be a proper sequel to tw3) is to far away...So Konrad is the new Design Director on CP2077, is he?
Well-deserved, no doubt.
But surprising nonetheless.
Up until now, my bet was that he was directing Witcher 4, or whatever TW3 sequel would be called. Since CDPR have all but confirmed the next instalment is coming and even said a new IP is releasing around 2021, I was wondering who was at the helm of the project through pre-production. Konrad seemed the natural choice, but turns out he's busy with CP2077 and being a Vice president, so I would assume it has to be someone else.
Going by his Linkedin profile, the head of animation there, Sebastian Kalemba, has been associate game director since late 2018, but the game itself is not specified. Maybe it's CP2077, maybe it's TW4. Or maybe it's something else altogether.
Interesting.
