CFB Week 3: The playoffs really did make the regular season pointless.

Which one was it?

I post pretty much in the same manner on this board as I do elsewhere, which is why I didn't expect to see anything I posted on the meltdown list. But as I was reading through them, one seemed very familiar...then I went to check my post history and sure enough....

When Taysom made a 30+ yard run to the endzone that was called back for an offensive hold, I replaced God with Joseph Smith and posted "Thank Joseph Smith there was holding"

Thats all

What should the be Over/Under how many times they will mention Ray Rice or PSU sanctions in this week's PSU/Rutgers. game?

You know, now that this game is MUSTSEETV, it should be added to TTK's reYAHOO PICK'UM list.

I was hoping it would have been one of the more out there ones, but that's pretty tame. Disappointed in you, Ron.

Maryland's Star Spangled Banner uniforms this week are amazing.

How much freedom can you fit on one uniform?

Hey man, it was raining ok.

Game hasn't occurred yet, buck. They were unable to sell 2k tickets so they returned them to UGA to sell.

But yes, there's always some excuse. It was raining, it was cold, it was hot, we don't have money to buy out Johnson's contract, you have obnoxious fans, we're a basketball school, etc.

8 team playoff won't ruin the regular season, but a 16 team playoff would.
Fixed.

I love the idea of an 8 team playoff the more I think about it. Bids will go to the 5 conference champions from the P5, a mid-major/FBS Independent, and 2 at-large. With this format, the importance of conference games will increase. The importance of winning OOC games will diminish a bit because teams will have little to lose, but they will come into play if said team doesn't win their conference yet they had a couple high profile wins OOC. Those wins will play a major role in determining the 2 At-Large bids come playoff time. This will encourage more high profile matchups and fewer cupcakes during OOC play which fans love.

That would be awesome if that was the result.

Christie, 52, a second-term Republican, met behind closed doors yesterday with political leaders and casino officials on strategies to build Atlantic City revenue on non-gambling attractions including entertainment and retail. The summit comes four years into his five-year plan to revitalize the city.

Yesterday Christie signed an executive order allowing the state’s casinos and racetracks to accept sports bets, as long as they don’t involve New Jersey college matches.

Rutgers, Rutgers, and...Rutgers?

Princeton, FDU, Rider, Saint Peter, Monmouth, Seton Hall and NJIT are Div 1.

NJIT was notorious for being in the Great West conference for basketball along with close by neighbors Texas-Pan AM and Utah Valley and North Dakota.

Isn't that the only D1 conference that doesn't get an auto-bid into the field of 68?

First tragedy, then farce.
That's what I hear.

Georgia Tech returned some tickets for their matchup against UGA this year. Here's where, if you care to visit Stingtalk (don't do that), you'll see their excuses over how some Georgia fan threw a cup of piss on their cousin's sister's neighbor 5 years ago so they have no desire to go to a game to be abused by Georgia fans. Because Georgia fans are known to be super aggressive and rude to visiting fans (said nobody ever, outside of the North Avenue Trade School).

It's always the same excuses.

I guarantee you, Georgia had no trouble selling their tickets to the South Carolina game this weekend.

There used to be a really awesome post that a Texas fan found on a Colorado message board where a Texas fan ate their dog they bring the tailgates.

I have no idea where the Rusty post lives at this point, but it was pure gold.

I do still hate Houston fans for me not getting my ticket to a game once.

I wonder if anyone would have seriously bet any big money on any of those schools.

Princeton alum are loaded, and yeah people would because the games would be so shaved. Hence, this policy.

They really should extend this to restrict New York and PA as well, and I'd rather ban all betting on college games myself.

sounds good in theory.

I hate the first 2-3 weeks of CFB season, just big name teams running up big wins and only a few blockbuster matches.

If there are fewer cupcake matches, I am for it.

Golden Domers are chickenshit!!
So, Destiny. Who's up for some Destiny in a little bit?
Can somebody boil down the Destiny experience for me in a few short sentences? Is there a single player campaign or is it multiplayer only? What games does it compare to? Shit like that.

It's borderlands by the guys who made Halo. So generally bland art and enemy design, but decent to good map design and shooter mechanics and probably large skyboxes.
