Depp looks awesome! But god DAMN is that song annoying. This looks SO much like how I imagined the book. I'm go watch it a few more times.

So yeah...that was insane. Just weird in so many different ways. I have to admit I laughed when he ran into the camera.

Wow...I have absolutely no idea what to take from that, except that Tim Burton is a strange motherfu**er.

Haha, so true. When I first saw Wonka in the sunglasses, I was like "wtf, did they steal Tim's sunglasses for this?"

Also, I guess that's some Elfman singing there. Sped up, of course.

I was really excited about Depp as Wonka, but now that I've seen it, I think he looks too young for the role. I'm sure he'll do great, and I'm still anticipating the movie, but he just doesn't seem to fit. :\

Well... I'll be very interested to see what the mass reaction to this movie is.

I'm not sure I like how slapstick of it looks to be.

I also agree with Prince of Space about Depp looking too young. I'm getting a Michael Jackson vibe from him...

:lol :lol

I laugh every time he runs into the camera or makes that "ew" expression when that kid falls in the chocolate river.

I have a feeling that this movie is going to have me rolling in the aisle because of Depp's performance alone. :lol

Okay, if you put Johnny Depp in a movie, let alone a Burton movie, and have him wave his arms around while holding scissors, well you're definitely going to rip me out and make me think a certain other role he played.

People like the gag with him walking into the camera? Jesus, that's undoubtedly the worst bit. How hackneyed.

I figured Burton would go into left field with this one and that music pretty much says so.

Looks to be a TERRIBLE sequal, the first wasn't about comedy it was more like playing with a childs imagination, this is humor best fit for a 6 year old.

What a waste.......... bleh

This has potential to kick all seven flavors of ass and the mysterious, legendary "eighth" flavor.

This is not a sequel, and is in fact aspiring to be a more faithful adaption of the book, the author hated the original movie adaptation. I loved it though, and I look forward to this version as well.

Ok.......I was under the impression this film was taking off at the point of later years when Charlie grew up and was in control of the factory thanks to him winning it from Wonka in the first movie ?

it is actually supposed to cover some of the second book though... never read any follow-up news about that.

No. You should read the books.

The sequel is Willy Wonka & The Glass Elevator. I am holding out hope that Burton gets to direct that awesome piece of children's literature.

Interesting.

Neither Marilyn Manson or Brian Warner are credited on IMDB. Though it appears that someone who fits Manson's description is in the trailer. Around 15/16 seconds into the trailer and in a white room. The guy on the far left kind of looks like Manson, though it's hard to tell it goes by so quick.

Marilyn Manson is not in it. Where are you people getting this from?

Manson was rumored to be Wonka years ago, but Depp is Wonka now and forever!

I'd love to see Alice's Adventure's in Wonderland. The book fits his style perfectly.

LeBron loves his girlfriend. There is no other woman in the world he’d rather have. The problem is, Dwyane’s not a woman.
Looks friggin weird...I LOVE IT!

i have a feeling the actual film will be much weirder than the trailer suggests, and the shot of depp walking into the camera won't be in the final cut.

So from that statement alone you can judge my movie tastes?
Here's some of my favorite movies of the year:
Garden State, Eternal Sunshine, The Incredibles, I Heart Huckabees
and I'm extremely looking forward to The Life Aquatic and Lemony Snicket A Series of Unfortunate Events.
