Is NIER worth a gamble for £9? Didn't review well but it's at the top of some GAF'ers GOTY list.

It's not perfect but there's a lot to love in that game. I say definitely go for it.

No, I don't think so. This seems legit (not the really low price mistakes they normally do). They seem to have updated their backend system, but have not altered the price on the page yet.

If you want it, you lose nothing by trying anyway.

Well they did so with my Battlefield Bad Company 2 Ultimate Edition a couple of weeks ago, which wasn't a pricing mistake.

But you're right, can't lose by trying.

by the way, some anecdotal evidence that you may be interested in. I ordered something from Amazon.co.uk on the 6th, was despatched on the 7th, due to arrive on the 10th but didn't arrive. I raised it with them two days later and they said it might be as late as the 20th. Still not received it (I suppose there is still a small chance today).

btw, I'm a Prime customer.

I think there were some serious backlog problems a few weeks ago. It's likely that it got pushed to the back of the sorting queue as the new mail was prioritised, I had to wait weeks for some things and they arrived much later than things I had ordered more recently. They are still working through mail from late November to early December in addition to new stuff.

Where? And is the PS3 version available?

I saved more money than I thought getting some games in a trade deal, may as well jump on that at that price.

Defcon: Everybody Dies: £0.00 at Green Man Gaming (more info), offer from Monday 20th to Monday 27th December.
I will not buy this game.

Haven't bought anything proper from Green Man Gaming yet, but I do like the idea of being able to trade games in, obviously. The games I bought for $0.05 when the site launched are worth $11 now. So might use that credit eventually.

Like right now why not. Purchased the Ruler Bundle for $26. Civ V is activated on Steam. Traded in Tropico 3 as I already own it, so still have $7.50 credit left.

Even if you have no credit, $36(€27) is a pretty decent price for Civ 5 (plus Tropico 3).
Though I guess Civ 5 might not be €49.99 on Steam for that much longer.

Play has Fallout New Vegas for 25,49 € shipped. They show a PEGI version, but do they ship the PEGI version or do they ship the the ugly UK version with the age rating on the spine?

Play ships UK versions.

Going to Currys/PCWorld today to check if there is GoW3 (for £10) in stock. I also have a £5 voucher so, I may have GoW3 for only £5. I am also going to buy a Wired 360 controller (for PC gaming) which I heard is going for only £10.

Talk about a bad time for getting ill. Morrisons had the 4GB + Kinect bundle for £199, with my staff discount would have been £179. Since I called in sick though, there was absolutely no way I could show my face in the store. I've heard it's going back up in price, and knowing Morrisons, it'll be tomorrow =(
So it turns out that the price still hasn't changed yet, and I managed to get one! It's a pretty good deal compared to everywhere else (even without the staff discount =P). Stores should be open till 10 tonight if anyone else is after it.

It arrived :-D

Would Tesco Entertainment or Zavvi currently be the better bet to order from? Both places have Phoenix Wright: Trials & Tribulations listed as in-stock and I could do with getting the game by New Year.

If you want it by New Year i certainly wouldnt go for Zavvi.

Hey EuroGAF, where's the cheapest place to buy 12 month Live and 2100 MS Points online? Preferably one of those "We e-mail you the codes" sites. Gamerpointsnow are pretty expensive these days.

Quick question about Amazon UK and preorders - probably going to be using someone other than GAME for my preorders starting next year and am considering Amazon. Anytime I use them I go with free postage and it takes 1-3 days to arrive. If I was to choose the next most expensive shipping (99p I think), are they good at getting games by release date? I'm in the UK by the way.

I always use Amazon for online preorders, and the £2 shipping option always has it with me on release day. I've ordered a ton of stuff and it's never failed me. Belfast too, so I'd say go with them.

Excellent! Cheers for that, Amazon it is :)

Wow, Zavvi really is the most horrible store ever. I ordered Enslaved, cancelled the order, a day or so later they still took money for it. I e-mailed them about getting a refund and they said, on DECEMBER 8TH, that it would take "a couple of days". I still don't have my money back and if I hadn't thought to check just now I probably would've never seen that money again.

I'd also like to know this, I could do with getting some MS points but don't wanna give MS my card details.

Prime customer here and had the same trouble with deliveries. Wondering if there's any comeback to Amazon after paying the £50 for Prime.

Damn. I was hoping Recettear would be cheaper than it's current sale price. I missed the indie pack that it was included in over Black Friday. I'm not that fussed about the other games it came with (apart from Puzzle Agent, which I already got as part of a different indie pack yesterday), but the price was better. Considering this time it's on it's own, and this is the holiday sale, I expected it to be even cheaper.

I might still get it anyway, as there's not much chance of seeing it for less for a long while now.
