Cheers, picked up Sin and Punishment 2 instead.Starwolf_UK said:If by worth it you mean re-sell value. Probably not, I saw vast amounts of used copies in GAME a few weeks ago (i.e. before Play and Amazon were selling the game for £15) which is probably part of the reason the price is dropping through the floor (its not selling and what comparatively little was sold has become used...its not unknown for retail to do that when they have too many of a title so its hard to tell if it is little replay value).
Gameplay-wise. I hope so as I just bought it:lol I also got Sin and Punishment 2 which is probably a safer bet if you want a Nintendo game for £15. If you like high scores and that sort of thing you'll gets lots of play out of it. Heck if you liked other treasure games or Starfox it would be worth a spin.hope its easy to ignore the story, I don't normally do that in games but given everyones thoughts on this one...
British shops may charge more for games after next month's VAT rise to 20 per cent.
As much as a pound may be tacked on to the pricey products, MCV reports.
The impact on consoles may be even more dramatic: MCV used the examples of a 160GB PS3 rising from £250 to £255, and the 320GB PS3 going from £285 to £291.
Shops' hands have been forced by the distributors, which demand sellers "accomodate" the imminent VAT rise. The result is a difficult choice for shopkeepers: either increase prices or suffer from lower profits.
The problem with increasing prices, however, is that supermarkets play by different rules, and continue to offer ludicrous savings that game-specialised shops can't match.
Heck, that's ASDA price.

Does not seem that bad... and stuff will still drop anyway
J Tourettes said:I don't think they will rise, apart from maybe the indies. Games retailers are just trying to put pressure on the distributors. The fuckers didn't put down the prices when vat was at 15% yet they're the first to complain when it goes up.

NVG Edition is just regular game and goggles. They made it a few months after launch to clear the stock of goggles.mclem said:I'm getting confused. I thought the *only* Night Vision Goggles edition was the Prestige one, but there's mention on that page of an "NVG edition", with the goggles, and Prestige being distinct from that.

I didn't get any post whatsoever for over a week before last weekend. In Scotland at least, loads of places said they couldn't guarantee Christmas delivery on anything ordered after the 5th.
Yeah I had an item from Amazon, with Prime, that was supposed to arrive Monday and still hasn't got here yet.lochnesssnowman said:I wouldn't think that's exclusive to Zavvi - the UK postal service is swamped at the moment trying to fulfil a traditionally heavy period as well as the enormous backlog built up over the weather in recent weeks. If it makes you feel any better (or worse) I had to wait a month for Valkyria Chronicles after them canceling and sending out another or something. This was during a time when the game was in stock and here was no Christmas rush. They gave me my payment back hough before it arrived so I got it for freeDodgerSan said:If they'd mentioned a delay when I ordered, I'd have zero problem. I know some places are struggling, but many aren't.
It's just the notification a whole week later that irks me.

Vanquish [with Lenticular Sleeve] (360) - £12.85 @ Simply Games
MikeDub said:Exactly, it's a farce but we shouldn't have expected anything less, Keyser is right though, prices will still drop. Plus they have spent the past 2-3 years conditioning us not to buy anything until it's £20 1 month later :lol
Danj said:Because of the bad weather and courier backlogs and stuff I would not expect that anyone in the UK is going to get anything they order off the Internet now before Christmas unless you pay for the very highest level of delivery (i.e. next day). Even then, it won't actually arrive next day. Many of the couriers have status updates on their front pages so you can get some idea how far behind they are.
And northern Ireland today, Wales and the south east tomorrow, remaining below freezing into next week meaning no quick thaw...Steroyd said:That applies mostly to Scotland, it's at north pole levels up there.

I saw New Vegas for £20 in Asda yesterday.randomwab said:Anyone know if Fallout New Vegas is £20 in-stores at the minute? I want to play it over the Christmas holiday but I don't trust it to arrive on time if I order it online.
Do GAME or Tesco have it for £20 or there abouts in-store?
