Bought shadows of the damned- cheers keyser. Now just looking for el shaddai for a similar price. I, like many others in this thread I imagine, have spent more in the last month on games then I have all year.

Thanks Keyser, I picked up Shadows. Not sure whether it's my bag at all, but at £10 it's worth the gamble.

Weirdly, I'm struggling to find games I want at the moment. I think Q4 was too rich in games for me, an I've still got a bunch of games on the go that I'm enjoying. Weirder and shorter games are of more interest than yet another 20+ hour thing.

Not sure where you are from, but I picked up El Shaddai in store at Game new for £4.95.

Just saw Once Upon A Monster for £20 in Granger.

My little ones still a few months too young tho.

I'm waiting on <£15 for:

- Once Upon A Monster
- Kinect Sports 2
- Rayman Orgins

The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time 3DS

£15.99 Free Delivery @ Bee.com

So apart from maybe getting a 3DS for £99 at Morrisons, what are the other good 3DS deals both on the high street and online?

For Finnish gaffers, RAGE (Anarchy Edition) for pc was 9,80 euros in Gamestop. It could be discounted in other Scandinavian Gamestops too.

It's mediocre third person shooter with Suda 51 whackiness.

Yeah. I thought it was actually pretty dreadful - much worse than most b-tier shooters, just with some "zany" shit over the top that apparently justified its existence. (I love Killer 7 and NMH, before people get all uggghhh.)

As a game, I find it much better than Killer 7. As an experience, Killer 7 still beats it. But Killer 7 is also a lot crazier than a trip to hell. Only Flower, Sun and Rain can stand up to Killer 7 in that regard (I have yet to play No More Heroes).

Welp! You two are a week late, StarFox were being sold for £15, but they seemed to have gone back up to £30 everywhere. :<

Speaking of Starfox, Game just sent me an email that they cancelled my £15 order I placed when the game was still in stock.
It's not in stock atm and when it is restocked it's going to be £30, so they cancelled my order.
How nice of them...

Wow, that's really cuntish of them...

So does that mean the £15 was a pricing error and that they're doing that for everyone that ordered it? If not, I don't see how they can do that. :/

They can and they do it on a constant basis.

Last time for me was Red Faction: Armageddon at 4.99. I applied a one time use voucher code and ordered from them, the next day they canceled because apparently they had no stock to fulfill my order (it was OOS at that time but was In stock when I ordered). 2 hours after they canceled my order the game was again "In Stock" but at 7.99 and I lost my voucher because it was already applied despite being canceled.

And that was not even my worse experience with them (just be careful when you order more than 1 product and they decide to split the orders) and Yesterday I received a opened game with a used stamp when I bought it "New"...

Me too unfortunately. I wanted to love it... Expected to, even. But apart from the music, I didn't enjoy it at all really.

Man that sucks. I actually don't like buying games from anywhere that accepts trade-ins any more - fortunately it's seldom an issue for me as I can't remember the last time one of them was cheapest for a game I wanted to buy at the time I wanted to buy it.

Well, about Shadows of the Damned: comparing it to RE4 was a very good way to make me get it. :)
Won't be playing it for a while (and Dead Space 2 comes first), but looking forward to it.

Yeah, it had been a while since I ordered from Game myself.
Don't remember why, but for some reason I stayed with play, blahdvd, zavvi, the hut and shopto, while pretty much ignoring game.
This will probably be the way I look at them again from now on. :-/

Really liking Amazon as well since I didn't know before that you can order 2 or 3 cheap items and have them all count towards your one free shipping package.
Otherwise paying €6 or was it Pounds was killing most of their deals for me.
If I had known that I would have bought Starfox from them...

One shop that I refuse to buy from is HMV as they pulled the "not in stock/bargain price" bait and switch on me 2 times in one week last year. Along with something else I can't quite remember.
For all the shit Zavvi gets, it's one of the shops that always honors their deals and is generally very easy to deal with.

I would also appreciate any information or recommendations. Thanks.

As per my post earlier:
Just to let you know, my store had made a mistake on the price of the 3DS. It's the Wii that's meant to be £99, so you won't find it that price else where at Morrisons.

They do have a Mario bundle for £155 though. It's also available for £150 at Amazon, but if you get the £5 off £40 Morrisons voucher in the Sun or Daily Mirror tomorrow, they'll be level pegged.

You also have the unlikely chance of getting that money back from Morrisons if you win the Free Shopping competition.

Shadows of the Damned is a great game, but you shouldn't really play it right after Dead Space 2...

Belgian GAF: Carrefour seems to be selling off their copies of Professor Layton and the Lost Future for €10. 10+ copies in my local Carrefour.

Sadly have to report my very first bad experience with buying games only.

Happened with zavvi.

Ordered Uncharted 3 during the black monday deal at 25 pounds, a wonderful price. It never arrived. After waiting for the required amount of days they took ~4 days each time to answer the inquiries instead of the promised 24 hours.

Now, after 4-5 replies the order has been cancelled and a refund issues since they apparently have run out. The nearest prices I have found are +25%...

The Anarchy edition is just 1p more on 360 and PS3 over at GAME. If you think a few unlocks is worth 1p.

Still haven't bought it myself - the reviews and comments are just so incredibly mixed, and I wasn't a fan or Borderlands (which it looks a bit like). Bah!

It's nothing like Borderlands. Borderlands is an action RPG from a first person perspective. This is almost a pure shooter except for the races and the equipment you can build.

I feel your pain Torraz.

I also ordered Uncharted 3 during black monday and I got sent a copy of Virtua Tennis 4 instead. And know they don't want to send me my original order, but instead want to give me a refund...

Bottom line, Zavvi sucks.

Really? Hmm. Tempted to add it to the pile-o-shame then. Thanks .. sort of.

My condolences!

I guess I'll simply wait now, for either a cheap used in-store copy someplace (wouldn't have played the MP anyways) or I'll wait for some other nice deal instead.

Luckily I've got quite a backlog... I just hope another good deal pops up before they do the inevitable platinum butchered cover release.

I ordered Valkyria Chronicles from them ages ago for around £10 and it took ages to arrive and when I opened the package it was Eternal Sonata -.-

Took a while longer for them to send me the right game after I sent them the wrong one back. I don't know how mistakes like that can be made.

Blockbusters are doing their January sale right now, plenty of new games for a tenner (Mass Effect 2, Dead Rising 2 etc). Bagged the DR2 SE for ten quid but now I have an unopened version of the normal game to get rid of :/

Oh and Zavvi talk? I've never had a problem with them thus far. Only thing that I would say is that their delivery times are awful. Some of my orders have taken 3 weeks + to arrive. I bought Duke Nukem Balls of Steel from them on a Mega Monday sale for £25 a few weeks back as well and then promptly saw a copy in Game for £8...the bane of being a cheap arse lol
