Just a heads up that the PC version of Deus Ex HR and The Missing Link are on sale over at gamersgate.com, together they can be bought for $7, which comes to around 5 Pounds. I don't know if this'll reflect to those living in UK or Europe, but check it out, if its going for less than 9 Pounds, you got yourself a friggin' bargain.

Huh, this seems weird.

I purchased a game from Zavvi about 2 weeks ago, it was dispatched on 27/1, but I noticed I got a weird tracking number that I can't use anywhere. I actually posted about it here, but I forget about it, thinking it was probably a problem with their website.

The game has not arrived yet (not surprising, I received games from Zavvi after 2 weeks before), so today I checked the email to see when it was dispatched, and I noticed half of my delivery address is missing. It only shows the street and zip code, with no mention of country or city. I checked in previous emails, and they had the full delivery details.

It seems I'm not the only one with this problem - someone here here mentions he had the same problem with the tracking code and address. He got a new code, but Zavvi said nothing about the missing address.

Should I contact Zavvi, or wait a few days to see if the game arrives?

The last game I received was Hitman HD and the dispatch email says:

delivery address:
[street] [city]

[zipcode]

name is not included and country isn't included as well.

So the details appeared on the actual mail they sent you? Otherwise, they couldn't sent you the order since they have no details?

I guess it's a problem with their website. I'll just wait for the game to arrive then.

The address isn't complete in the e-mail. But I still received the order. What matters is what's listed in your customer account.

I was talking about the actual package. if the details weren't listed on the package, you obviously wouldn't get it, but since you did, I was saying it was probably a problem with their email system that doesn't show the full delivery details in the email confirming the item is dispatched.

The details on the website (and the order page as well) are fine. I also just checked, and the email confirming the order has the full details. I'll probably get it in a few days ;p

I received Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch in its Wizard's Edition from Thehut yesterday, just to let you know as I heard there were lots of problems with payments and things like that.
The box was in good conditions too.

Ah yes. Exactly. I was a bit confused by your reply :P

Package had all the info on it, otherwise I wouldn't have received it.

Is that still available on the website?

The Wizard's Edition? Probably sold out everywhere by now. They seemed to have some stock for a moment yesterday at ShoppeTwo.

If you're not in the UK I guess your best bet is to go check out a local game shop and see if you could still get a copy from there.

NATIONWIDE INSTORE - GAME - SONY PSP 3000 Model In Black - Brand New and Sealed £29.99

Shamelessly stolen from HUKDs
As title, absolute steal, they are clearing stock nationwide as 3 store managers told me today. Apparently there is plenty of stock across the UK.

Cheapest ever for a new one!

This was sent out on a memo to all managers early in the week.
Edit: for the confused it is GAME the store.

UK-GAF, where's the best place to get Xenoblade? Online it seems like it's either at full price or even more, and I can't even find it in the stores near me. Want to buy it new.

I'd also like to know this. I have a rather large backlog, and I've been avoiding buying new games for a while now. The recent thread about Xenoblade being sold out in the US made me realize that it's hard to find copies of it also here in Europe. I'm kind of afraid that if I won't buy one soon, it'll be out of stock everywhere and prices will be even higher on eBay. The cheapest price I was able to find for this was via Amazon, 50.60£ + 1£ postage to Finland.

Resident Evil Revelations (3DS) is £19,99 again at Amazon. Not in stock, but "Usually dispatched within 12 - 13 business days."

I heard this game is not very kind to left handed people like myself, much like Kid Icarus. But for all righties this might be worth it.

any good deals on ninja gaiden 3 wiiu, scribble nauts wii U or black ops 2 wiiu?

Not to give a short answer, but a No.

A lot of Wii U games are not dropping, In fact, Ass Creed 3 has been the only real notable drop since release IMO - it went to £23.

Scribblenauts Unlimited's release is a mess - I don't even know if it is released yet tbh.

To both of you:

Amazon.de - €37. It'll have an ugly USK logo on the box (places might not accept it for trade-in) and a German manual. Shipping to UK will be about £4 so ~£35 total.

why ? the games bombed horribly...

The main reason games go cheap is not because they bomb, it is because shops take on too much initial stock, and are forced to shift that to make room for new games. The best way to do that is lower the price of the stock.

Because the Wii U was a new console, no store was going to take in high amounts of stock for any of the games as they is no install base to buy them, and as a result they are now perfectly content to sit on the small stock they have and shift it slowly at the higher price.

Some games will drop though (like Darksiders II shows above), it just will take some time.

Well, Batman : Arkham city dropped to £18 on base.com, if you're into ports of old games. The games are getting there eventually...

I've talked to a sales person in a relatively large retail chain over here a while ago about this. He said that they also make deals with publishers regarding this. They take a certain quantity in stock and agree to keep it on the shelves (f.e. top shelve with larger visibility and such) for 6 months. Afterwards they can, depending on the deal, return their remaining copies to the publisher. Or, they are allowed to put a major discount on the game for a limited period of time within those 6 months.

So I guess it depends. Sometimes there's a specific deal about it, sometimes it's as Keyser said.

For Swedes looking for a Vita. Groupon.se is having a good deal:

Playstation Vita 3G, 8 gb Memory card, Wipeout 2048 and 2 weeks free 3G for 1549 sek (£150).

With that kind of price curve... I'll wait until it's 500 SEK, shouldn't take too long. And I'm only half-joking.
