Can anyone recommend a great Korean BBQ place along the lines of Gyu Kaku. I would be eating there more often if its didn't cost so much for us guys living in the burbs. The food is awesome but the parking prices and shit is killing it for me.
Gyu Kaku isn't worth it; you can get much better Asian food elsewhere.
Which suburb do you live in? There's Woolaeoak in Rolling Meadows, Woo Chon in Rogers Park, and Woori Village (all you can eat plus Naengmyun!) in Niles. A bunch of us mentioned other ones a page or two back like San Soo Gab San, Solga and Chosunok which are closer to the city.

Any of you guys doing the Shamrock Shuffle next month?

My gurlfriend (in the next town over) says there's huge ass show flakes. Here in the city its just drizzling rainThe snow in BUffalo Grove is some bullshit. I'm going home
Commute sucked ass.
Thanks for the traffic report. Most of my office decided to work from home today, but looking outside it doesn't seem that bad. I was thinking about driving up to Rolling Meadows, but avoiding that whole mess seems like a better idea.
Stay at home
Roads are fine, buncha babies.
Even people driving home arent crying.
Anyone here going to C2E2?
Anyone interested in accompanying myself and a Top Cow/Marvel/DC artist as we eat ourselves through Chicago food?
I'll most definitely be there I have myself a table in the artist alley and everything. Chicago food is awesome, as long as you guys aren't going out for deep dish. I'm so sick of deep dish!
I feel the exact same way, so many people I graduated with are trying to leave too. 1 year without the illusion of school and no job just made me look elsewhere. But I can't wait to visit.TEXT
OK, Chicagoans,
I need to take a good friend around the city and fill him full of Chicago.
So far my plans are - Italian Beef at Al's, Maxwell Street for Polish, I think we are skipping the deep dish. What else should I hit? Last stop will either be La Pasadita or Chinatown.
Buddy is from LA.
If you are into the bar scene at all, get him up North somewhere. Hopleaf, maybe? Also, if you want to take him to some other Chicago experiences, you could do somthing like Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind, conveniently around the corner from the Hopleaf.
I'll try once more.
Going to Chicago tomorrow afternoon until Saturday. Anything that I definitely need to see?
As of now on the docket is the Leafs/Blackhawks game on Wednesday, Deep dish pizza on Thursday and then Friday will be sightseeing.
Which deep dish place are you going to. And where will you be staying?
Staying with my sister somewhere on East Lake Street I think it was?
No clue on where the deep dish pizza is, she'll be choosing that.

Yes Americans, we get it, you love yourselves and all things American.
Tongue firmly in cheek.
I'm visiting Chicago in April and will be staying for about a week so looking forward to seeing how "best" it truly is. My brother already lives there with my cousins and aunts.
Spring is here.
Just for today.
And tomorrow I hope!
