Can anyone recommend a great Korean BBQ place along the lines of Gyu Kaku. I would be eating there more often if its didn't cost so much for us guys living in the burbs. The food is awesome but the parking prices and shit is killing it for me.

Any of you guys doing the Shamrock Shuffle next month?

Gyu Kaku isn't worth it; you can get much better Asian food elsewhere.

Which suburb do you live in? There's Woolaeoak in Rolling Meadows, Woo Chon in Rogers Park, and Woori Village (all you can eat plus Naengmyun!) in Niles. A bunch of us mentioned other ones a page or two back like San Soo Gab San, Solga and Chosunok which are closer to the city.

I think Quartino is really good for Italian Tapas, something we don't have in LA really.

I personally really liked Hot Doug's as well. If he's into tortas XOCO by Rick Bayless is great too, despite us having great Mexican food in LA we don't have refined gourmet tortas cooked in a wood fired oven.
