Agreed, but he's shown that he doesn't want it, so it's a two way street on that front.

As much as I want to laugh, I want to hug the guy and show some fucking compassion. Which is something few people, in this thread and out there in the great internet doesn't seem to have, or disregards for Chris-chan.

Okay, i'll bite, i never followed the saga very closely and i only knew a bit about Chris (which for the purposese of this post will be used as a short for both names) because the exposure Chris has gotten globally on the internet, but is ther actual hard evidence that Chris honest to goodness identifies as a woman?

Like i said my understanding of what chris is going thru has massive holes, but i always gathered that this "tomgirl" thing was about being the reverse of a "tomboy", females described as tomboy exhibit a masculine behavior but are not actually male identified, which to me seemed like what Chris was going for (and frankly it's a noble concept regardless of where it came from, i for one would welcome with arms wide open that the concept of tomgirls was as accepted as tomboys), as opposed to actually identifying fully as a woman as their sole gender identity.

Im just trying to understand what's going on here.

I don't think she is a very nice person, mental illness aside. I do believe it's possible to have a mental illness and also be a jerk: I have met people like that.

Again, I'm not trying to start an argument, I just don't want someone to discredit other users on the basis that they are against LGBTQ.

Edit: I've known a few people like CWC growing up, and seen the bullying that results from them being so easy to goad. It gives me a nasty feeling. And no, I don't think it's fair to hold their social behavior to the same standard as everyone else for obvious reasons.

Browsed this thread last night, went to bed, woke up and whoa, its still here. Really? This thread doesnt have many merits. Like earlier posters have pointed out, there is like no chance in hell of a project like this getting off the ground because a) despite CWC "owning the copyrights" to Sonichu, this project would gain very little traction before being shut down by SEGA/Nintendo/TPC, etc. His copyright is entirely for a derivative based work and would never hold up in a challenge. And b) what dev would be so foolish to take on CWC as a partner?

Because if there's one thing an indie developer is looking for, it's an idea guy who can contribute nothing more than shitty crayon graphics and negative press!

As far as CWC as a person actually goes, I admit when I was younger I found it amusing, but as time goes on this just becomes more depressing and humiliating. CWC basically lives in this Truman show-esque reality where she is poked and studied for our amusement. That in itself is messed up. The saga of Chris-Chan is a strange one, it's like a particularly violent car crash, it's horrible, but I can't look away. It's probably because he makes tons of things that should be personal, public. I feel bad, but when I was younger, I spent more time on the CWC wiki than I would care to mention. I don't spend any time there anymore and only really hear about him when he does something particularly awful.

I fully agree that he (i'm going with he, I don't know how serious he is about being trans as he's shown to have very little knowledge of what it actually is) needs help, but he won't get it. His mother will never seek help for him, because she enables and encourages his bad behavior, allowing him to think the horrible things he says and does are okay. As far as I know, Chris is very high functioning and capable of realizing that the things he does are wrong, but his family life has conditioned him into thinking that he won't be held accountable for his actions, so he can just do whatever he wants.

I honestly think it is a great opportunity for some indie dev out there that's trying to find their big break. Whatever becomes of it, there's no doubt that it will instantly become an artifact in gaming history and you will be famously (or infamously) associated with it. As I've said before, I want him to realize his dream and get his game made. To anyone planning to troll him I thought I made it clear in the OP that you're not going to get far. He was trolled by people posing as game devs long ago which is why he's asking for only experienced indie devs which he will vet.

Geeeee... it almost sounds like he's learned from past mistakes and doesn't need your help (or hindrance) to get in the way of making his game.

He does have some child-like tendencies and vulnerabilities at certain times and for certain subjects but you have to remember that he is an adult. This is a guy who has lately been spotted going to bars on his own and he manages to get himself home safely. He's learned a lot and has even matured since he became known.

This is one of the few times he's actually shown some foresight and is approaching a project while taking precautions to make sure he doesn't get taken advantage of. He is an adult with a disability but he has his own life and ambitions and a lot of people's "help" isn't helping him reach his goal right now.
