Clairvoyance - Cutest Robot Chess Deathmatch EVER

Oh man. Always use the "Try Moves" button. Learned that lesson the hard way when I owned myself.

I wish you could give the other player moves too, Frozen Synapse style. I also haven't figured out how to watch the match's previous moves until it ends. That would be a useful feature.

While you're in a match? Just mouse wheel scroll up the moves on the left, I think. And when you've finished a match, and still in-game, go to OLD and you can watch all your previous matches without needing to go to a web browser.

The replay feature is incredibly robust, the only thing for perfection would be a Youtube upload option.

Match with SapientWolf: http://www.gameofclairvoyance.com/tv/8428

I lost, but this was the cutest thing ever:

DASH FAIL

Awesome, haha.

Btw, Sapient. Want me to invite you?

At least the Messofanego-gate bu,led the tread nicely.

Oh neat. I just noticed I am ranked 9th. :-o

Ah piss, didn't realize grenade 3 only goes 3 if it's a lower ground.

You can always just try the moves before submitting them with the "try moves" button. That way you can learn the rules of the game as well.

Screenshot of my graph before the match with Ferrio, who is about to fuck it up. ;)

And of course I'd lose to someone who just started playing :P

:D

Figured to be aggressive, the lobbing bomb strat seemed to be a lot easier to predict.

Didn't realize bombs hit up and down too... so when that bomb landed on my head I was surprised I died. Mutual destruction.

You destroyed me AND stole my avatar idea. Sham on you, Ferrio. Shame on you.
;P

Here is our match, for anyone interested.

Toma manages to guess my most random moves. Or at least, he plays as if so.

How you neglected poor C :( You didnt even get him out of this dangerous situation when he could move again after I healed him! I hope you dont mind I put him out of his misery.

*salutes C*

Recent short blurb by the devs on their website:

We're sorry that things have been kind of silent here lately (except for the people playing, hope you're having a good time!).
We still plan on doing all the things we have talked about, like a tablet version, tournament system, and more. Right now we focus a bit on our other game, 'else { Heart.break() }' though, you can see our progress on that one here: http://postcardsfromdorisburg.tumblr.com
Our plan is to reach version 1.0 within a few months. Onwards!

Just invited Sapient and Messo, anyone else wanting an invite?

I just read this right now. So they are working on a mobile version? It's such a perfect game for that platform. After XCOM got announced for mobile, I can see a good market for turn-based strategy games.

Btw, did you guys realize you can easily drag and drop the moves to change their sequence?
Handy.

Just picked this up through a trade in the Buy/Sell/Trade GAF thread. Looking forward to playing it, gotta check out the tutorials first.

I ended up registering my nickname to a non-existent email by accident so I sent a message to support to see if they could help me out. Going to wait to hear back from them before I register.

Hope to see this pop up on Steam Greenlight at some point too.

If they dont answer their mail until tomorrow, write them a message on Facebook. They got back to me within half a day there.

Also, there are no tutorials, but I highly recommend watching the youtube video linked in the OP, which explains a lot:

The game explains itself rather well.

Geez, in my last game I was trucking along nicely, and then my opponent started to fuck my robots up with his last piece. If he wouldnt have killed himself by accident on that last turn (lol) , he'd have an easy time taking out at least one more.

Lucky me.

Oh and the 10 turn marathon match with wok finally ended:
http://www.gameofclairvoyance.com/tv/8484

The game which henceforth shall be known as the match where wok learned not to tell his opponent all of his moves since he will just sidestep them then ;)

Ver fun match though! Especially the beginning was gold, haha.

Personal goal has been reached:

Unfortunately, there is a game I need to finish that I will lose, so I'll probably lose quite a few points again. Still, goal accomplished!

I ran out of games, anyone else want to play a match?

I dont know why, but wok always seems to make the most unfortunate moves against me, lol.

Support got back to me pretty quickly which was great. Gotta take my time drawing the robot faces, this is the most important part.

Already got challenged too, I am fully prepared to be destroyed. Username is Tomat.

It happened to me in fullscreen. I had also experienced this with 4Elements.

I am starting to understand how you play.

Uh-oh.

I have been analyzed. What am I doing differently?
