Club Nintendo (NA): Register FEA + SMT4 by 8/31, get $30 eShop credit

Oh look, "free money" for me. I've already purchased FE:A and have SMTIV preordered...so many things I want to get from the eShop though. :D

This is certainly great news, I already have FE:A and have SMT4 on preorder. I'll probably get Animal Crossing with the credit.

Guess i'll go ahead and preorder the physical copy since the digital looks like it'll cost just as much. I can also re-sell it if i hate it.

Wow. This is a great promo. Already had FE and have SMTIV preordered on Amazon using for $20 using some credit I had. Hope this does really well for Atlus and Nintendo.

i already have fea and had paid off smt iv. this is pretty fucking rad. $10 would have been a neat little thing, but $30 makes nintendo better than sony and microsoft combined.

Pretty sweet deal, when is Ace Attorney 5 getting released? I might save the credit for that... if not then I'm not sure if using for Code of Princess or a bunch of VC games

Nintendo may be behind on online multiplayer, but at least they've figured out a good loyalty system to promote their online store. Now I'm seriously considering buying SMTIV.

I wanted to see if I could check out the first three games (patched ROMs of the first two) before doing that though. Is there any benefit to playing the main SMT games in order?

This makes me contemplate it, as I already have Fire Emblem and I'm always looking for good RPGs. I haven't played any of the main Tensai games, but I assume they're similar in vein to the devil summoner games? Or are they more similar to the Persona games.

Will Dream Team be released digitally? I plan on buying that, so it only makes sense to buy SMT if it will be released on the eshop.

All of these questions have been answered by taking a minute to view the OT.

Well, it's doubtful you'll be able to finish any of them before SMT4 comes out, but if you're gonna play one I say Nocturne (SMT3) on PS2. Strange Journey on DS is good as well and also a 'mainline' SMT game, but the dungeons are first person and kinda annoying later on. SMT4 has third person exploration like Nocturne.

You know this how exactly?

This is the first I've heard of the PXZ thing. Looking into it, it seems the listing on the website didn't mention the bonuses back when people preordered. The SMT4 bonuses are pictured on the listing, but not mentioned in the text.

Not exactly sure if Newegg got a shipment of "regular" edition PXZ copies alongside the limited edition stuff and got it mixed up, but, if Atlus is being serious about EVERY first run copy coming with the bonuses, Newegg would have to open the merchandise and remove the bonuses (and throw them on an open flame for extra evil points). I guess just don't order from Newegg if you don't trust it. There's no way to know for 100% until it arrives.

AA5 purchase funded, thank you very much! SMT IV first print edition for $33 is just the icing on the cake.

3DS has had some pretty nice deals so far.

While they're wonderful games, playing the first two titles before any others is a good way to put you off the franchise for quite a while. I suggest playing Nocturne first.

This is a lot better than I expected but at the same time I don't know what to buy with those credits. Picross e2 is only $6.

Very cool!

Takes SMT IV down to $20 since I buy a lot of stuff on the eShop anyways. Glad it is retroactive and also works for retail copies.

Nintendo should just buy the Atlus brand. Seems like a good fit.

I dont like FE games, but my kids do, so yeah.

oh, that makes sense... and it's really a bummer for your kids.

maybe you can encourage them to learn english that way, I played Zelda: LttP with an english-spanish dictionary at my side, it really helped me. I had 90% of the game translated on a notebook, lol

Awesome deal. Also, good thing that we can register it until the end of August (won't be able to buy it until around the 15th)

Thank you based Atlus/Nintendo.

I know i'm buying Dream Team physically. Thats just something I want to own, case, boxart, and all.

I wouldnt mind...

It's working. The game was 30th on Amazon.com, which is great, given the price, its nature, the fact that it's out next week and, above all, Amazon ranking being full of items like download cards / digital games for PC / massive deals that "shouldn't count" while looking at retail games and how are selling over there. Well, it suddenly shot up at 8th.

Thats great for the series. Picking up steam now. If you're an RPG fan and own a 3DS you more than likely already have FE:A and if you don't.....

No reason not to get SMT IV now.
