Coca-Cola Is Bringing Surge Back - Selling Through Amazon

I almost ordered two cases, but this stuff is terrible for you and I probably shouldn't be drinking it anyways. Plus with only one case, I tended to be a little careful about how fast I was drinking them.
 
I ordered 5, just to toss into a closet and last me a while so I don't have to track them down like this.

Hopefully they actually arrive this time. They've already shipped but in sets of 2 (1 for the fifth).
 
I was just able to order a case. It won't be here before I leave the country Wednesday, but I saw the expiration date for some cans on eBay was listed as being next summer, so they should keep by the time I am home next in December or February. I have fond memories of drinking 6 or 7 cans in a row and being really hyper and then vision and hearing dimming while walking and falling over passed out. I imagine that the amount of caffeine I have consumed from Monsters would probably allow that to not affect me in that way anymore.

Surprisingly was able to grab a case of this and pepsi true today, can't wait to try both! Also god damn, surge is sitting at the #1 best seller in grocery. Pretty much guaranteed to launch in stores sometime soon

i tried to order the pepsi true and it said they won't ship to me. i have no clue why, i'm in MD.

My shipment was set to arrive today, checked my status and it said delivered at 8 AM... but there is no Surge in my home. If some punk ass kid stole my surge I'm gonna be pissed
 
I bought some of this after the last wave of shipments. It is not that different from Mt. Dew to me, though I honestly don't drink a ton of pop.

I ordered this with zoolander on bluray on monday. Neither have shipped yet and both are out of stock. Amazon can get real shitty sometimes.
 
Got mine in tonight. Too late to drink any because of the caffeine though, and honestly it tastes a lot better ice cold.

Looking forward to getting out of work tomorrow and cracking one open for the first time in 12 years.
 
ordered, but hopefully i actually get mine this time. i ordered one last month when they had 'em in stock, they even gave me a tracking number. then once the delivery day came and passed, i got nothing. i emailed customer service and all i got was an apology and "hey other sellers are selling it (for upwards of 70-80 bucks at the time), why don't you check them out!?" here's hoping it'll come through this time.
 
A local retro/tech game store that is a 5 min walk away are selling these

well shit, I guess I'm old now or something. I just popped open a cold one and I can't bring myself to drink this swill. Way too sweet for me. Can't believe I used to drink this stuff as a teen.
 
Initially I couldn't figure out why everyone was so happy these were back. I bought a case, cracked one open and...it tasted like Mountain Dew. I was unimpressed. And then I drank another....and another.....and another. I don't know what it is about Surge, but they're really really good. I'm really want another case but I'd rather not spend the money.
 
I just received notification Surge will soon be available in Prime Pantry. This and the fact it its #1 on the grocery best seller list on Amazon, maybe this won't be such a limited production run or limited anymore at all.
 
Ordered two cases from Amazon and a blu ray of RAW FORCE so I could get free shipping on Sunday.

Still haven't shipped yet, getting worried...Haven't drank this stuff since '99 when I was in junior high and my best friend and I would stay up until 3 AM on Fridays and Saturdays playing Goldeneye and drinking Surge, good times.
 
This is what I've been saying for forever - it wasn't that great back then and it isn't that great now. It's just worse than Mountain Dew, period. People just seemed to get really pumped up about it because they "Drank it as a kid" and that got way outta hand.

Consult a specialist because your taste buds are broken. Surge tastes like a lot of sodas, but Sprite is not one of them.

Mountain Dew and Surge coexisted. I had both back in the day and preferred Surge then. I had Surge recently and still prefer it.

What now?

Which is fine. I mean I saw a dude say that Surge tastes like Sprite, which is literally a string of words never before put together. So having a minority opinion is just fine. But that's not the argument presented: that desire for Surge is entirely because of nostalgia.

Like I said, both Mountain Dew and Surge existed at the same time back in the day. There wouldn't have been a decade long push from fans to get more if Mountain Dew was the obvious superior.
