COD 4 Beta Thread

If you guys haven't yet, try party'ing up with friends before joining a playlist (if you're partied up you'll always be on the same team). Try getting 2 other buddies together and getting on the Team Tactical playlist. 3v3 Search and Destroy on Crash is what gaming was invented for.

Any clue how emails are being sent out? Is it 10K at once or so many per hour?
 
omg, this is stupid. some guy in a forum from my country is reporting he registered with 3 different mails and got three tokens...............wtf.
he is currently playing the beta (i´m seeing him in my friendlist).

Yeah, I definitely need to play more objective games and see what they have to offer. The percentage of people just playing team death match right now is crazy.

Not sure. I just know we want to ramp up, instead of throwing everyone in at once. All the emails can't physically go out at the same time, though. It takes a few hours for a huge bunch like that to be completed.

Devs are starting to prevent that from happening. Halo 3, for example, will not be playable on trial accounts.

Oh and still no email. :(

I have FN3 for both systems but when live ran out me early in the morning I never wanted it since because PS3 is free, but will pay for this:D

Well DK, it would be very much appreciated if you can find out if they are sending out the 10,000 or so emails at a certain time everyday. As per my usual luck I didn't get a token in the early wave deal and even though I sat on the computer all day Monday and signed up as soon as I could, I still didn't get a code yet. So it would be nice to know to check my emails at around 7pm cst everyday as opposed to checking it every hour.


GT is the same as my screen name here if you want to help a brother out. ;-)

You can play most games on it. Halo is just one of those games where people will create account after account just to play against the lowest ranked player for easy kills.

No. You're thinking of the training playlist that only people under a certain level can access.

In the pubic beta I want to say my best has been in the 45:5 range. Granted, this was right after it opened up to more than a handful of people and I was in a game with nothing but first time noobs.

By signing up u mean entering your gamertag and email address from the link or registering account and then hitting the 'ENTER' button in the multiplayer section?

I haven't tried this yet. Will do later on if possible.
 
What's the player population looking like now? It was at about 1800 last night, and I assume it's much bigger today. Not sure about during the day when people are working, though.

It's gonna be atleast 55. Going by one of the challenge categories in Barracks. I'm waiting for more gaffers/friends to get on to try Team Objective and Team Tactical.

Ah this Beta is freaking sweet. Thing is COD4 is exactly the kind of FPS I've been looking for awhile now. Between COD4 and Halo3 that's about all the FPS love I need this fall.
 
Just wanted to ask one of the guys who are close to the team ( Rayme,fourzertotwo ), are you guys gonna up the level cap on the beta eventually?
