I just tried getting on to play during my two hour break in between classes and it keeps throwing me in rooms by myself and no one else joins. Anyone else having this problem this morning?

Don't worry guys in 3 weeks I'll be muting them in halo and ya'll won't have much to worry about. (I'm pretty pumped about halo3's mute whole team feature)

Still... the game just redeemed itself. I just had the 6 best fucking games I'VE EVER HAD! Truly, it was amazing, awesome, and was keeping me on the edge of my seat, with no idiots screwing the game up. And I got my best game ever... 29 kills and 9 deaths on Crash.

Taking a break now....

BUT I OFFICIALLY PRONOUNCE LABOR DAY WEEKEND AS....

CALL OF DUTY 4 WEEKEND!

Had the same thing happen to me a few hours ago when I tried to get some games in before I headed out.

It (supposedly) found 200-1000 people in different search categories, but would always send me to a room by myself. I'd sit there for a while and no one would join, so I'd waste time on GAF or creating some custom setups. 10 mins go by, one person joins, but eventually either he or I would leave.

Hopefully it works now.

Tried playing about an hour ago, the only way I could get in to a game was by joining somebody on my "recently played" list. Otherwise I'd just sit in the lobby and nobody would join. I'll try again now, I suppose.
 
If the Beta has taught me anything, it's that a lot of the Gears Of War crowd are going to be buying it, so hopefully Halo 3 will be free of any of those kind of people.

Haven't gotten my token yet, but this makes for a sad face. This behavior is not the sole province of XBL; but, I've always found it odd someone would pay for the pleasure of being a heel. Maybe they're bargain shoppers like me and change gamertags every year to get cheap XBL... Gotta afford that smirk somehow, I guess.

Perhaps they will give it to everyone, that would be sweet. Just roll it out slowly so their servers aren't bombarded.

I sure hope I didn't accidentally delete the email in my spam folder. I forgot to add the contact to my gmail account and I emptied it once without scouring it for the email. I added the contact after that. Here's hoping.

Hey Everyone --

We've made some massive LSP improvements which may have corrected the Download Game Settings message error, if available, load up your beta's and let me know if you are still having the message.

Token distribution will resume once the "Downloading Game Settings" message has been resolved. Don't worry, we're wanting to get a large group in before the long weekend just as much I know you guys want to get in before the long weekend.

So hopefully this LSP improvement has helped the issue a bit, and we can get some more people on playing / testing.

Please keep posting if you get it, and be sure to note how often you get it (every 1 out of 5 trys or 4 out of 5?).

Looks like they're holding off on token distribution until they fix the problem everyones having with the game settings. :(

I really haven't had much of a problem with the people in this beta. Certainally nothing like the retards I constantly ran into in Gears multiplayer.
 
If any game other than Halo 3 can unseat Gears of War's multiplayer stats, it's COD4.

Played for 10 minutes and had to force myself to walk away (cuz I'm still at work).

Insane.

right im in feet up and on for the night, any good team games going whack me an inv theres a large number of douches im running into.
 
I played 3 hours last night from 7p to 10p. It's like each game gets more and more intense/fun as you rank up and get better weapons.
