Yeah,

I am starting to lose faith here that I am going to get a token emailed to me. I went ahead and added the Infinity Ward email to my address book to prevent it going into my SPAM folder, and I have religously checked all folders multiple times a day this week with nothing to show for it.

All I have to say is, this game better be pretty damned good!

what did you do? I didn't get a confirmation e-mail ether, but I have the symbol on COD.com.

I really doubt it was my email...but it just worked that way. :lol

I just told them I loved the first two CODs on the PC and that I was using hotmail and never even got a confirmation email for my registration and asked if that might have to do with me not getting a token.
 
So, as my Beta downloads, I'd like to give a little acceptance speech and drops a fews thank-you's here and there.

First off, I'd like to thank Dartastic, who proved that IW didn't send out the Beta invites by skill level at COD2. Here's to many, many more "first GAF COD2 match" moments in COD4.

Next, my buds Cajole and Spud, who had to live through the pain and torture of the masochists at IW alongside me. Don't worry Spud, your day is nigh as well.

And then there's Joates, for being awesome and showing me a taste of the COD4 battlefield beforehand through his descriptive, sensory writing. He shall serve a good captain, I'm sure of it.

Finally, I'd like to thank IW, who may have been sadistic spoony bards by not getting me MAH BETA as soon as I would've liked, but, all the same, delivered.

55 percent in, mofos.

Still nothing for me as well. I got the star under my name, been registered, same username on the boards as my gamer tag. Sigh. CoD4 beta, why have you forsaken me. :( Bloodwall needs modern combat fun for the long weekend. :(

I might be on later tonight. I added lots of people earlier in the thread for GAF games, but I still haven't played with anybody from GAF. :lol

Need to finish 1up Yours first, and maybe play a little MP3...

That's incorrect; you can run and reload. You probably mean sprinting, which is essentially a full-tilt, spinning-your-legs-as-fast-as-you-can action. If you want to do something more complicated (reloading), then you'll need to slow down to attend to it (come out of the sprint), but you're still running.

The game is sort of slow until you get to Create-A-Class. That is when things take a turn for the AWESOME. The action is fast, the weapons each have their own feel, and the gameplay is visceral and INTENSE. This is Call of Duty at its finest, boys, Call of Duty at its finest. WOW.
