COD 4 Beta Thread

MP5, Red dot, whatever camo I feel like, 3 stun grenades, Stopping power, and Deep impact.

I have other specs to whenever I get bored with one gun or just wanna change things up.

Im the complete opposite. I used Last Stand for a night and didnt have any luck with it. most people seem to be pretty aware that they better keep shooting you just in case.

I have moderate luck with C4. I use it as a backup to frags. Ive been able to throw it in various windows, includng second floor from the first floor, and gets kills. You cant really throw it far, but you can throw it far enough. If you were able to throw it like a grenade it would be unbalanced. also remember you can set both packs of C4 and switch back to your main weapon and double tap X if you ever need to detonate the C4.
 
I've been dominating Crash and Vacant with my MP5 with Red dot + Juggernaut and Extreme Conditioning. I usually get the best or second best score with 2:1 kill ratio and usually kills in the 20's and sometimes in the 30's.

MP5 sprays bullets faster than most other weapons, and allows you to run faster than other main weapons. Plus, Extreme Conditioning on top of that make you even better as a run and gun fiend! :D Because those 2 maps has many around the corner surprise opportunities, you have the best chance IMO with the MP5 if you are smart with it.

P.S. Lay on the ground and camp with M4 bastards can die of gonorrhea. The same for I can't shoot so I'll do C4 suicide bomber fucktards.

Yeah.

But I got a good kill with it when an enemy came up on me who was a terrible shot, I had C4 out and had no choice but to throw it and detonate it right away and pray that it worked. It did. The fact that he couldn't kill me with an MP5 was hilarious.
 
Is anyone planning on being online for the next couple of hours? Im about to get off work so Ill be online in about 20-30 mins and would like to GAF it up! Im down for whatever game types.

The key is to feather the trigger and fire in bursts with the Skorpion. It saves ammo and makes you more accurate.

That's the number 1 line I hear on Overgrown. I was just on the phone with my cousin, and he was playing the beta, and he said the same exact thing I hear everytime.

That barn area is pretty popular, a favorite and good snipe spot.

I camp at the ledge above the stairs. Get tons of kills. People run up and I swoop down, putting a knife in their head.
 
You know what I would like to try though...does C4 stick to people/players. Say for instance, you toss some C4 on your buddy and he runs with Extreme Conditioning and you remotely detonate him and do all kinds of awesome Al Qaeda tactics.

Anyone out there using C4 know? Can you toss C4 on your team mates and have it stick to them?
 
Some great GAF games last night. We were pretty much racking the wins until these 3 clan guys joined the party, then we got our faces melted. Nothing like getting your ass handed to you after you've been doing the same all night.

Sorry for not accepting game invites guys, I already had a party, but even with that aside, I just log into a game and then can do nothing but watch due to this game settings BS...I've restarted the beta a million times, wtf.

I really want to punch something ATM...:|

I did the same, you have to ride it out bud, takes about 10mins of just sitting there but then you can go.

Or you can just join someones party who can play and sneak into the game after waiting a while in spectator mode.

I guess it's only a Beta, but the COD party system is really, really weird/ filled with bugs. The max for a party is nine players, and even then, you can't get into any games. After or before a match, party members will randomly drop. Odd stuff.


But yeah, I'll be on in about half an hour to forty-five minutes. Hit me up with an invite then.

I'm glad for this, overall players in the beta are 10 times better then the average live user.
 
Man... been playing for a few hours now, and I gotta say that the game is pretty addictive with the whole leveling up thing - awesome...

Hit Level 11 pretty quick - they need to up the cap soon...

One thing that was annoying was the damn campers, but when I'm on my game they don't bug me as much...

Gonna hit the sack now, but I'd love to play some GAF games tomorrow...

Getting and keeping a GAF game going is fucking impossible. That stupid game setting screen fucks everything up, and then some people get disconnected and after a few matches I'm in a game with a bunch of random people.

I hope IW fix this stuff for the final release.

Yeah, best thing to do is to just wait. You can try to reset the machine and sometimes that works, but if it doesn't just wait for it to go away. Once it does you should be in the clear...until tomorrow when it rears its ugly head again :P

I tried the restarting shit a million times, it didn't work. Then I just let it sit there for like 8 minutes and it went away.
