Yeah that is inexcusable, for shame Treyarch.

Goddamn fucking game developers. It's always the easiest fucking things that get screwed up. So if you can't set time or score limits, what are the default values when you play a botmatch (deathmatch and/or team deathmatch)?
I only played FFA and the time limit was 10 minutes, but I don't recall the score limit, neither me nor my friend reached it.

Wait so you're only talking about purely OFFLINE mp, right? So you just played 1v1? Hopefully those options can be set when doing the botmatches (Combat Training mode).

But I can't do that unless I'm connected to live, which is stupid. There's no refuting that.

time limit and score and some other stuff can be changed in combat training

lol you guys gotta be effing kidding me hereeee. First people complain that Ghost pro looks way OP and will easily be the number one choice as the first tier perk.

Now Flak Jacket is looking like too good and people are complaining about that.

Add those 2 together and that's why the top tier isn't as close as people think it is. They're both great and offer great value depending on what you're going for or what game type you're into.

I'm getting a nice "Tranquility Lane" vibe from Nuketown. If you use the Hacker perk, it should let you tweak the oven to blow up in one of the kitchens. :D

I'm way more pissed about all the Pro challenges than one perk actually being worth using now.

What's the issue with the pro challenges? Based on the list that was posted a couple pages back, the multiple challenges required to unlock the pro perks looks like a great addition. Am I missing something or is it just a difference of opinion?

Difference of opinion, I'm sure. Grinding is a chore and bad game design. Worse, the new Pro challenges actually require you to play game modes that you might not like.

The Pro challenges should be purchasable by COD points or at least doable in any mode. Why should I have to play CTF to get a Pro perk that I want to use in TDM?

Personally, I wish only superficial things were unlockable. It'd encourage more play style experimentation rather than locking off stuff you haven't tried yet. Imagine if the incentive to keep playing the game was because it was fun.

Man, I can't wait for this game, but the multiplayer maps seem so uninspired... I've checked the video that someone linked above, and they all seemed so random and.. similar.

Seriously, I can still remember many Counter Strike maps and I can draw you maps of their layouts with no problem even though the last time I played them was at least 6 years ago. For some MW2 maps like the 2nd DLC ones that I played just a month ago, I can't remember shit..

Oh and no, I'm not talking about de_dust, that map got incredibly tiring. But maps like cs_office, cs_assault or cs_italy were sooo awesome. And cs_office even includes lots of indoors, which I absolutely love:

Same for cs_office, which had a really fun layout. Though I could imagine it being shit in MW2 and Black Ops, with all the claymores and noobtubes.

EDIT - Watched the other full vid, and the only maps that seem to be interesting (at least to me) are Launch, Savanna, Nuketown and maybe Villa. Oh well, I guess it's all about getting used to them.

Yeah I love it. :D

Flak jacket looks a bit too good but that will depend on how well it holds up in full player matches.

I like how your player model changes look with perks now instead of being given a random visual every match.

I'm kinda late on this, but i thought scavenger wouldn't restock lethal grenades o_O

This is what I thought as well. Hey Sethos can you confirm whether or not Scavenger replenishes lethal grenades?

Even though I hate grenade spam, I guess replenishing grenades would make Scavenger at least somewhat useful. Even still, Scavenger kinda looks like the worst of the first tier.

Scavenger allows you to replenish lethal grenades. Pro, tactical grenades.

edit: I should note his descriptions of a lot of Pro perks are wrong, his was just the only video I could find with that shot of Scavenger.

I really don't like how they are beating around the bush regarding the more interesting questions, it's almost like listening to politicians -.-

Yep, doesn't seem that bad. It's also "confirmed" HERE, though i don't know what their source is

It kinda depends on the gun. Some guns go through ammo way to fast, and Scavenger is essentially the only effective way to replenish them.

I completely disagree. I think most of the maps have pretty unique looks to them. More so than the maps in previous IW titles. I am not going to judge th map layout by a few videos though.

People are complaing that you can't spam grenades and/or grenade launchers and automatically get a free kill? :lol

That's the impression I'm getting as well. We got some closet noobtubers in here.

Famas was my favorite gun in MW2, aside from the ACR. I've read that the Famas model in Black Ops will be the newer model "Famas 2." The Famas is a notoriously inaccurate gun in real life, however it was extremely accurate in MW2; Does anyone think the accuracy may be greatly decreased in BO due to it being the newer model?

It sucks that the ACR won't be included, even though it was a bit of a gamebreaker in MW2.

Yeah but bullets shouldn't kill me either then. Yeah I know it's a game and it's part of loadout

People seem to forget the perks define your appearance. Whenever you see a guy with flak jacket just switch back from your noobtube.

This will be sooooo good for Domination :D

Some of those challenges are pure bullshit.

Seems like the only way to get all pro perks is to play the game 24/7, compared to me who is only going to play for a few hours a week.

Which ones exactly? They all look pretty easy, the hardest one to me looks like "Earn and call in attack dogs" for Hardline Pro and that's not very time consuming at all.

People probably do 90% of this stuff while playing anyway, they're just not aware of it.

The only thing that stood out o me while glancing over it was "Destroy 10 equipment through walls".

The most frustrating moments I have with these games is usually dying to noob tubes or random grenades, so this looks most excellent to me. :D

Even that's really alleviated with Hacker, which lets you locate equipment. You could seriously probably fulfill that requirement in 2 or 3 games after having both perks.

It reminds me of the staple "WTF?" challenge since CoD4 which requires you to kill an enemy of by destroying equipment through penetration. Now THAT, was difficult.

They better matchmake pro perk players together only. Because the pro versions of the perks offer a huge advantage.

Totally disagree. None of them seem particularly difficult or tedious, other than 26 miles of running for Marathon Pro; a lot seem vastly easier than their MW2 counterparts as well. It seems to me that if you're actually actively using the perk, the perk challenges will fall pretty quickly.
