The thing about this "artificial taste" aspect of diet drinks is that it's something you get used to.Tried it last weekend. Same terrible artificial taste. Original Coke for life.

Taste buds make a shift, basically.
I don't drink regular soda anymore (except in mixed drinks). Usually when I do it seems too sugary, where the diet version has more of a balance. Some are obviously better than others.
As someone who drank regular soda for many years before doing a switch to diet, I can understand both sides. The flavor that you're comfortable with is the one you stick to, generally.
I've seen Coke Zero Sugar 12 packs on the shelves here in the DC area, but not yet Caffeine-free Coke Zero Sugar, which is what I'd prefer. Soon, hopefully.
But it's not something I want to get used to.
I only drink pop occasionally. I don't guzzle it, I'm not diabetic. I have no reason to drink the sugar-free version.
Some coke machines have options for Vanilla and Cherry
Some coke machines have options for Vanilla and CherryThey said they have no plans to make that. Same with cherry and vanilla.
Bastards.
If I can save 240 calories in a day, and be a pretty damn close flavor profile, I don't see why I would choose the regular version. I drink maybe two a week, that's like five miles worth of walking.
Well yeah, no one's trying to convert you. I'm just talking from experience and what I've heard from other diet drinkers. But it's not something I want to get used to.

So are Caffeine-free, cherry, and vanilla discontinued or will the Coke Zero versions remain? If they're gone entirely, that's some real BS right there. I only discovered Caffeine-free Coke Zero recently, though, so it won't be too hard to give up soda altogether if I have to.
I bought a bottle of Coke Zero at the supermarket today. We seem to have more and more Coke Zero's on the shelf..... I see no Coke "No Sugar" We still have Coke Cherry Vanilla and all that jazz.
Tried this.
It tastes like a Diet Coke
Diet Coke already exists
I want Coke Zero to taste like Coke Zero
Garbage

Freestyle machines can make all sorts of combinations that they won't bring to market otherwise. That is what they are referring to. No plans for cans or bottles.
Finally found some cans of this in the wild. It tastes sweeter than Coke Zero
Not even close.
This taste NOTHING like Diet Coke. If anything it taste like Coke Zero with no aftertaste.
I drink a ton of Coke Zero btw.
I fucking love this new formula and would even choose it over full sugar Coke, that shit is like oil in my mouth now.

This is how I felt.I've been drinking diet soda so much for so long that my taste buds may be fried, but the new formula tastes more like regular Coke to me.
