Greg Miller is on the verge of tears man, I'm pretty sure they will miss him more than the people here because they are friends

Greg also cries a lot ;)

I honestly think Colin "resigned".

Greg called it a breakup and that's what it is.

You always want to "stay friends", but that's not how it goes...

Everyone always resigns

I mean... He just resigned. I knew this would happen. I've been watching GOG for awhile and gotten the vibe of holding something back and not really enjoyed somethings he used to like. He always admitted openly he really wants to go talk about politics more than games (ie Gawker episode on C&G). So yeah. He just resigned to go and do something he always wanted to do.

This. Just look at the KF subreddit and the KF forums, where most of the KF fans are, and the fact of the matter is that Colin was the reason that they watched KF content.
He was the main reason why I watched KF. I probably won't anymore. I tend to separate politics form entertainment
its a good practice, I suggest everyone tries it
and I have really enjoyed his insight into gaming and I have since I started listening to him at ign almost 9 (or 8?) years ago. I doubt I'll watch anything from them again because Greg and Tim don't provide anything I could find better versions of elsewhere (giant bomb and easy allies).

If the die hard alt-right Colin fans keep removing their Patreon pledges and Twitch subscriptions does that mean the value of the company goes down and Colin gets less money for his shares in the company?

I have no idea how any of this works.

They'll lose some supporters but they might also gain some from people who were put off by Colin. it works both ways.

All these people saying oh now I'm back to subscribing, oh it's better that he is gone. Please explain this one cause without him, Kinda Funny is quite boring.

Jesus christ, so it's okay to be sexist as long as you aren't racist?

Also, you can say you aren't racist or sexist all you want, but when you actively support political groups that lobby against the rights of women and minorities, that makes you a racist and a sexist.

Also, Colin says he is pro-gay marriage, but didn't he once say something to the effect of "If people believe in the sanctity of marriage being only between a man in a woman, I think calling that homophobic is a bit extreme."

Haha, of course it is not okay to be sexiest as long as you are not racist. The point I was just making that people often lump those two together without doing thinking. Your point is very valid because you are actually explaining and giving reasons.

I am just a fan of critical thinking.

A lot of people don't seperate politics and entertainment for them. People have lines, JonTron crossed that line, Mel Gibson, Colin (Although he was just a dick period), Sean Penn, Terrence Howard, and so on and so forth. People don't ignore that shit for a reason.

hmmm this is not looking good

hmmmm people that don't think like you, scary huh?
When they spout or endorse reprehensible vile things... yes, it's kind of scary.

The comment section for the latest gamescast video is just embarrassing. This is the kinda people Colin brought to the channels, calling Tim a cuck and a backstabbing.. well best I don't say the rest. I hope the KF guys don't take it too hard.

The people making the argument in trying to shame those rejoicing that Colin was fired*** (left)*** are the same sorts of people that keep trying to spin the narrative back into the offending sides favor in such situations, heavily relying on the victim card as if its more important that a guy spouting unapologetically sexist misogynistic nonsense be protected than those that such rhetoric condemns. Perpetuating institutional ideals about people like that "joke" was, has symbolic and tangible effects in shaping the way we as culture think about concepts of race, gender, sexuality, etc... Which is why I always get frustrated when its dismissed as someone simply being offended. Beyond being offended is the actual harm this shit brings about, as innocuous as that joke may seem to people. If this were an isolated case with Colin it might be easier to look past or hell, even if he showed a bit of remorse (although it shouldn't be). If either were the case, Colin likely would have been able to stay on the show and it wouldn't have been as big of an issue.

But lets stop pretending he is the victim here. No one forced him to continuously poke at the groups of people he did; he did that alone through conscious decision making and when pushed doubled down and is now aligning himself with a bunch of additional alt righters. Whether or not you like him as a journalist is really besides the point, its 2017 and time to move past the antiquated ideals of generations past which only serve to further their own ends, even with something as simple as a joke.

To me, without Colin KF is actually enjoyable now. Colin was a miasma of negativity and doubt on everything.

Too bad he's never offered a political viewpoint with more substance than a fat-free rice cake, he might have been able to do something with that passion

Shame, seems to be an unpopular opinion but I really liked PS ILY XOXO and the Gamescast. Though he wasn't too present on the latter.

I wonder if PS ILY will continue

His attitude brought in a lot of cynicism and toxicity to the community and to an extent the content. That's fine if you like that stuff but some of us prefer the jolly vibe of places like EZA. I don't want every episode to be filled with angry rants about outrage culture.

I removed my pledge months ago and unfollowed all of them last week because Colin's increasingly shitty views made me uncomfortable but now that he's gone it feels like a bit of a fresh start for them and I'm excited to dive back in

People are just so used to putting sexist and racist together as if they fit together like Switch Joycons. It is a lazy way of thinking that people have.

Colin made a comment on PS ILY this week where he said that women, Native people and black people can defend themselves and that white privileged males should not have to defend those groups of people. The article he was all outraged over was about Native Americans perhaps taking offense to the some of the language in Horizon, but he lumped women and black people in with the conversation because, as you said, it's just lazy, and easier for him to belittle women and other minorities all at one time than to just single out one marginalized group at a time to try and offend. And then the very next day after this episode comes out, he goes on Twitter on the offensive against women.

Since Colin does not feel like it is his responsibility to defend other people, it baffles me to no end that there is a group of people out there willing to stick up for him. Colin would not piss on you if your hair was on fire.

So this guy is like NeoGAF as a person, except right leaning.

Well said!
I share the same sentiments.

Is it really that hard to understand?

I don't like listening to someone who read Atlas Shrugged and now thinks he understands Economics. I get plenty of that already from first-year students.

And I certainly don't want to support people that have engaged in the harassing, sexist culture that gaming has partially evolved into.

Saw this coming. Stop listening to Kinda Funny a long time ago cause Colin just killed the vibe a lot for me. Just sounded like dude didn't enjoy games or the game industry anymore.
