I think that as usual Colin is just making a personal guess that happens to be wrong.
AAA nowadays that more than a year from going from content complete to release, and hiring localization people doesn't mean they are content complete. It could mean some chapter of the game is content complete, doesn't mean to be the whole game.
They also could be hiring localizators to also work in some other side project, as could be some outsourced VR game, mobile game, Uncharted 1 remake or Nathan Drake Collection remaster they could also have in the works, separate from their main internally developed projects that are Interestellar and the other one or two other SP new games they have in the works at ND.
In 2026 Sony will have SP games like Wolverine, Saros or GTA6 plus live service games like Marathon or Marvel Tokon, so even if they could have Intergalactic ready for late 2026 (I think they don't) it would make more sense to leave it for 2027, particularly if they plan -as it seems- to release PS6 late 2027.
Regarding TGA, if Sony puts something there I think wil be instead Wolverine gameplay, some new Tokon characters, some Marathon trailer with release date + public beta announcement or the announcement of other Sony game to be released during 2026, which could be Firesprite's next game (Until Dawn 2?), Horizon Online (the console game being developed by Guerrilla, not the NC Soft mobile game) or SSM's upcoming smaller project (not Cory's new IP, not the next mainline GoW bringing Kratos to a new mythology).
I think Wolverine will end up being delayed to avoid GTA 6. Maybe Summer 27 for Intergalatic.
They also have Wolverine, I can't see Sony putting out 2 games any closer than 6 months apart. So if Wolverine is October that would put Intergalactic as a spring game. Wasn't TLOU2 a May release?
Wolverine will be released in October, GTAVI in May. GTA won't affect Wolverine's sales at all. Particularly because Wolverine will be an action focused not openworld action adventure.
Sony has 2026 more than well covered with Wolverine, Saros, Marathon, Marvel Tokon, plus many big 3rd party games like specially GTA6. Plus stuff that Sony or 3rd partys may announce in the future. Makes more sense to leave Intergalactic for 2027 as either a launch crossgen PS6 game or as a PS5 game released a couple months before or so, as was the case of GoT.
