Golden Domers are chickenshit!!
You makes these all yourself? Thats dedication. I didn't even notice last week.
Some of them are the actual game lines I saw, some I change to make things interesting (in my opinion). Since I didn't want people just picking the winner (as would be the case with a push) I bumped the line up on that game to a TD (+0.5).
Penn Staters are pretty good at seeing horrible things and never speaking about it, so this might work.
Got damn, Bert. Got damn.

LSU 10 point favorites over Miss State? Please. I'll be happy when we bullshit our way to victory with no QB.

Who am I kidding I'm watching MSU/Oregon anyway.

My God... could it be another LSU fan? Cyan will be ecstatic!

Also, the 10 point spread is based less upon LSU's abilities and more upon MSU's "performance" last weekend against Southern Miss.

I was here last year too lol. Regardless of what Miss State did LSU always plays down to the opponent.

Is the season over yet?

My Horns have scored 20 points over the past three games. What are the chances they score over 20 this week against Rice?

Vandy OL, Jake Bernstein, discussing Nick Chubb "I would rather have Ralph Webb [Vandy RB] than Nick Chubb any day." O RLY? He is seriously going to give them bulletin board material and extra motivation this week?

So I'll start off by saying Va Tech people are the nicest away crowd I have ever been around, yes even you Nebraska fans (you all were kind of jerks when I went there). I was welcomed so many times just walking around campus so many time, following the game tons of people just saying good game, high fives, and wishing me safe travels. You can tell the fans really love their Hokies no matter what.

Lane stadium is very nice stadium, not a bad seat in that place, and the atmosphere is up there. I wont say its the loudest or most insane atmosphere I have been too (PSU and Wiscy are above it) but it's top 5 for sure. Enter Sandman is worth the hype; I took a video of it that ill have to look into uploading.

Get this feeling that were nearing the end for Beamer, was very odd all the tributes and everything they did to him on the video board. I get that he basically is Va Tech football, but it was very weird.

Going to hold off on commenting a lot on the game as im going to watch my DVR copy tonight but one thing: DAT BRAXTON SPIN. When he did that literally the entire stadium gasped.

Now for the low lights,

-speeding ticket on the way there. Fuck you SE Ohio cop and your stupid fucking lip full of snuff who taunted me by saying "youre the 5th buckeye I got this morning! I'll get you going in 7 minutes!"

-For all the people in Va Tech pumping up this as one of the biggest games in Lane Stadium history, you sure didnt show it. There were easily 1k+ seats that were empty in the south endzone and in what looked like club seats mid field on the east side.

- Va Tech has 2 bands, a "marching" band that sits in the south endzone and a cadet band that sits in the north endzone. Neither bands are a loud, nor good, at all. Theyre so quiet in fact that Va Tech amplifies the band to play through the speaker system, this is pure bush league in my opinion. Our band was easily drowning out their bands on the few rare occasions they didnt turn the bands mics on. Really disappointed with that as I always liek the tug of war feeling you get when both bands are playing back and forth.

Pic dump!

If their scoring trend continues, the only options are a safety or nothing at all.

I missed the entire game but I am kinda glad I did. I am going to the TCU game on Saturday so I will get to see some offense at least.

Should get home in time to watch the Rice game, maybe they will turn it around... maybe

Probably need a new OC first.

You can have the best OC in the world but without an OL and QB it doesn't matter.

I learned this last year (not that Yurcich is an all-world OC by any means, but our QB and OL situations were terrible).

Also, heads up, this week my undergrad alma mater, the Hardrockers of the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology (SDSM&T), play their bitter rivalry (aka the Black Hills Brawl/West River Rivalry) hosting the Yellowjackets of Black Hills State (BHSU).

sdm-bhsu-rivalry-082015.jpg

This is the 130th meeting of the two teams (that's only one game less than the Harvard-Yale rivalry). It's the oldest rivalry in NCAA Division II, the oldest football rivalry west of the Mississippi, and the two schools absolutely hate each other. I bring it up because it's gonna be on ESPN3 this year and, while the teams are usually not very good, this is usually THE game of the year for both schools, the overall record is neck-and-neck, the two schools are less than 50 miles apart, so its easy to get fans for both teams in big numbers, the game is always mean, and the stadium is packed (which is a sweet drive-in stadium design, btw):

SBNation did a nice write up of last year's game. Love to see that kind of dedication, even when the stakes aren't of national importance.

Yahoo Pick 'Em Week 2 is Available!

Highlights from Week 1:

Randolph's Free Land won with 103 points
Average points were 78.3

Interesting picks:
Nobody picked Fordham to win against Army (5 people picked Army as their lock of the week).
Nobody picked Northwestern over Stanford.
Only one person picked Texas or VT (and both with only 1 confidence point)

I picked with my eyes closed, too.

I recall setting Army over Fordham pretty high. Damn Patriot League.

I think I went straight favorites, only worried about the confidence.
