This is a very valid point. Plus, Oregon is all the way on the west coast and we hardly ever compete with them for a recruit. OSU already beat us on the field, winning a Championship might give Urban too much much momentum.

And MRE you should root for Oregon because you don't want to get heartbroken again. I don't think our defense can keep up with their speed and pace. Our running back might have some success but Cardale is now full of himself so he's getting ready to get brought back to reality.

On a recruiting note, I find it hilarious that the site "oversigning.com" has completely died off since Meyer went to OSU and landed 27, 27 and 24 (in progress) recruits each of the past 3 seasons. Seems as if the hypocrisy was too much and the site operator choked on it.
I did just tell you that this candies are terrible. If I was a homer I'd tell you how good they are, but I'd be lieing. And every local station is predicting us to win handily so I'm quite certain we are going to lose. I have 2 gallons of bleach at the ready, assuming it's not already over by the time I get home after missing the first quarter.

My office is filled with people wearing OSU stuff today. I don't think I've seen any of them wear it all year.

Its kind of slim pickings in terms of genius coaches at the moment, aside from Saban and Meyer everyone else has either moved on to the NFL or moved on to a higher profile job where they're not doing as well (Chris Pederson, Kevin Sumlin) or they failed already (Kiffin, Kingsbury) or no one is sure if they're good or not because of the situation they inherited (Shaw, Helfrich).
I guess maybe Briles and Patterson?

Also have to give some love to Helfrich and Shaw.
I'd probably take Meyer though.

UGA's QB of the future, Jacob Eason, attended an Under Armor camp recently taught by Chris Weinke. Doesn't seem that he knew who Weinke was. Guess it's not too surprising when you realize that Eason was 2 years old when Weinke won the Heisman.

Eventually I think we'll get to the point where the bowls are almost completely divorced from the playoff and serve as little more than consolation games for the playoff losers and/or bubble teams, making the playoff games standalone events.
