Well the last time Vegas was involved in the rumor mill it was when this happened:

Jim Harbaugh 2015 coaching location odds from online bookmaker Sportsbook.ag were suspended on Saturday after lopsided Michigan money moved Michigan's odds from 8/1 to 2/1. A representative from the company told RJ Bell that action kept pouring in on Jim Harbaugh as next Michigan coach no matter how low they made the odds, so they were forced to suspend betting. The rep added that they were afraid that "someone might know more about his coaching situation than us."

So the betting line re-emerging at 1/1 represents a continuation of that narrative. Otherwise, sure, you're right, if you believe the NFL is still in play. My moles tell me it's been a done deal for weeks, he's coming to UM.

I was in New Orleans for NYE a couple years back. Sugar bowl activities were pretty fun...they'll probably have a concert in the french quarter again you may want to check out. This year I'll be in Vegas for NYE

Yeah if you were to pick a major bowl game to party near without actually going to, Sugar is the best bet. The only former BCS bowl I haven't been to is the Rose, but I can't imagine the Pasedena party scene nearing anything NOLA can offer.
