Because it's Iowa. They really don't have a higher ceiling then they do now under Kirk Ferentz. They'd be stupid to get rid of him lest they risk becoming Minnesota post Glenn Mason. Let's not forget that, just three years ago, Ferentz won a BCS bowl.

He was on the verge of getting shitcanned earlier in the year. Alvarez allowed him to the big boy table to hire some staff. He chose a trainwreck at OL coach and Canada was hot garbage. Bielema was also sold on O'Brien. Canada has figured it out (mostly by stealing Chryst's playbook) but the OL coach was shitcanned along with O'Brien.

Bielema was fighting for his job, it's not terribly shocking that he jumped ship.

Does Arkansas have actual adults like Alvarez in their program to make decisions for Bielema? If not....well, sorry guys!
