I didn't either, because I'd want Kirby to coach through the BCSNCG, and Auburn would absolutely demand he come to Auburn now (under the guise of "save our recruiting class", but really, to try and hurt Alabama's chances in Miami). I also would hate to see him on the sideline.

But I wouldn't think less of him. I've expected him to get a HC job for 2 years now. It'll happen.

I hear that. Can't be any worse than Chizik. I wonder what his salary will be. Bigger question is will he keep Trooper Taylor and his towel?

Chryst is born in Madison, went to Wisconsin, coached at Wisconsin. I think he left because he figured Bielema was entrenched. Now? Poach his ass! Big East is a joke anyway.

Bad thing about Gus, is that there's a good chance they'll keep a couple of Chiz's staff. Maybe even BVG.

I'd like BVG gone from there, because he might turn that defense around (was gonna be a hopeless 1st year).

I'd like Trooper gone because he looks like a scummy POS.

Here, found the Axe story just for you:

So he hunted up an old girlfriend, had her hide the Axe under her dress, and together they brought it back to Berkeley.

There was an interlude of several decades in which the Axe belonged to Cal, and was brought out for the rally before each Big Game. Until a group of dastardly Stanford students stole it from an armored car, in a plot involving fake cameras, tear gas, and shenanigans with the operator of the Dumbarton Bridge.

Yeah.

A little after that, it became the official trophy of the Big Game.

That's coming from a family source (mother in law works at Shiloh Christian, where he coached for a bunch of years).

As much as I think it's about time for George O'Leary to go, I'm also kind of happy we don't have to worry about all of this drama this particular season since there are so many schools looking.

Seeing People saying Tennessee has had the best Coaching offseason between the big 3 SEC schools.

By not hiring BB or Gus.

Really surprised we haven't heard of teams trying to poach coaches from the NFL (no, not ones in the booth, actual coaches)

Indiana now has the Dean of coaches in the B1G Leaders division in Kevin Wilson at just under 2 years of time at his school.

Cal is looking at Kyle Flood.

Sources maintain that there has been contact between the two camps, and Flood will fly in for an interview on Thursday.
