Holy crap Notre Dame is knocking on the door of the top 10? Someone needs to send them back to their hole.

I would say "we got this," but Im actually kinda nervous. I had Michigan State as a pretty good team and they got handled. Maybe the Irish are actually decent. It's possible. They do have a hot piss coach, after all.

Edit: Also, holy shit Colorado and lol Arkansas. SEC! SEC! SEC!

I haven't been able to follow sports as well as I'd like, since I've been out of the country, but my Bruins are 3-0! Granted Nebraska was the only legit win, but Brett Hundley looks like the real deal so far.

I assumed you were a USC fan. Despite your team taking us behind the woodshed, I respect you that much more.

USC is bottom tier for me. Seeing them lose is ALWAYS a pleasure.

I was in a weird spot for awhile when it comes to college football. I went to UC Santa Barbara as an undergrad, and UCSB doesn't have a football team. So I wasn't really a "fan" of anybody. I did like the USC offensive attack back when they had Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush, Lendale White, Steve Smith, Mike Williams, etc, but I wasn't a fan of the team; I just liked watching them score TDs by the bushel.

I'm now attending UCLA for graduate school, so they're my legitimate team now.

The amazing thing is that Dorrell is only the second-worst UCLA coach in history and the last decade.

Dorrell is a great WR's coach.

Nobody in south bend likes the university because it's mostly a bunch of rich kids and south bend is one step from away from being Gary. New York is where all the weird ND fans are called subway alums. They're the absolute worst and give actual alum fans a bad name. I guarantee if you go to a game at Notre Dame you'll be treated respectfully and have a good time. I will be honest that it's not hard to love Notre dame if you went there but I can't understand most of the non alum Fans who should by their very status as unwashed masses be fair weather band wagoner Alabama fans.

I'll probably be chased out of CFB-GAF but I don't really hate, or even dislike ND. I can identify with that team's football fanbase because thats how our basketball team is viewed.

I understand the distaste and media fatigue, and that they probably do get preferential based on their history and reputation, but ultimately we've played them once in forever so they aren't really worth hating to me.

We don't have a lot of ND bandwagoners here. Its all UNC, NCSU, ECU, App fans and SEC migrants.

Well, the difference is that Duke is a consistently good program that usually gets tot he Elite Eight every year. Whereas, ND has been medirocre for some time and insists on being treated like an elite program.

What they do have is a fanbase that travels very well.

ND v. Navy in Ireland being a perfect example.

Yep. We'll finally see what ACC stadiums look like when full.

For the life of me, I don't understand why Arkansas was ranked so high to begin with.

You can't abruptly lose a successful coach, replace him with a fuck-up like JLS, and expect to be a legit contender.

Well you see. As the urine increased in temperature, it caused air molecules around it to heat up as well. Becoming more and more agitated as a result of the uric fury. And as we all know, hot air rises.

I kinda agree. Carolina hasn't even played the likes of Missouri yet. Big tests coming over the next few weeks with Georiga at home and then @LSU to see if we are just pretenders or not.

Mizzou will be the big test to see if the Gamecocks can survive without Shaw's third-down bailout scrambles. I don't expect him to play the entire game.

The defense looks to be as good as last season's so far. We'll see how Clowney does against some bigger offensive lines, but it looks like the light has turned on. He's even more disruptive this year despite the added attention.

Fun on a Monday morning.

CFB-GAF, I
re-
learned a lesson on Saturday; Do NOT take shots of whiskey at ~1pm if you have to be functional later that day.

Seeing this guy rip off two long TD runs (74yds and 80yds)...

...after BREAKING HIS BACK against this same team last season, just made the whiskey start flowing in my house. Really happy for him. Thompson basically broke WF's back with his 2 RD runs, putting the game out of reach before halftime.

Bring on Clemson!

Go fuck yourselves.

I'll add pick later but as for anything else, fuck off.

Just wait until you get to 6 Ls in a row, like FSU did with both Miami and the gatas. :(

Love the Holder

So glad I got that pick wrong. :) Funny as shit ending to that game.

ND fans don't necessarily travel that well, they just have a built in fanbase everywhere due to being the official Catholic school. If we want to talk about fanbases that aren't alums of the school, ND would surely lead the pack.

And the entire freaking states of Nebraska, Ohio, and Michigan.

Schiano is off to a great start as a head coach in the NFL:

Also love the ESPN-y jab at the Big East:

"Translation: This isn't the Big East, Greg, and we're not Norfolk State."

Schiano was in the right, and Coughlin is just being a sourpuss.

So yes, I agree, shockingly enough, Schiano is off to a great start in the NFL. That one move by Schiano showed me that, maybe, he can last in the NFL.

Really like this photo:

Shows why a lot of DL players are wearing the near-full faceguards these days. And the one white guy's leg there...just already on his back :lol

Does Wake Forest have the worst logo in a BCS AQ conference?

It's in contention with the gata's helmet.

OSU-Texas has been confirmed for a primetime kickoff on Fox in two weeks.

Night games in BPS are fun--it's gonna be a great environment. Ready to see us finally beat the Horns in person.

Pretty much any state school. ND has to take the cake for having those people throughout the country, though.

True, can't think of any other team that people just bandwagon on to that level.

Man, I loved the reporter taking a jab at Schiano's penchant for scheduling cupcakes (not a coincidence we have Arkansas on the slate after he left).

I'll disagree, he made an enemy of the most powerful man in the NFL (Mara), not the smartest of moves.

But yeah he totally blew that game, their wrs were beasting on the Giant's and he goes conservative. And their D gave up 503 passing yards to Eli, reminds me of WVU/Rutgers games. I miss Hillbilly/Guido week :/.

My brother went to FSU and now lives in California. I have no doubt he was working a healthy buzz by 10am.

Dear Matt Barkley,

Thank you very much for deciding to forego the millions of dollars you would have earned in the NFL by returning for your senior season here at dear old Southern Cal. I know you were excited by the opportunity to not only achieve personal glory by winning the Heisman, but also by the chance to win a national championship, albeit a mythical one, with your football family. I bet you are probably as upset as I am about losing to Stanford for the fourth (FOURTH!) time in a row. I saw how hard you played Satuday night, and I know you must be tired. Go ahead, lie down here in the road and let me run over you a couple of times with this bus. I know you've sacrified so much for this team, so what's a little bit more?

Anyway, I have to go film another episode of my hit show for Comedy Central. I look forward to seeing you at practice this week.

Hugs and Kiffins,

Laney

Lane's ego just can't let himself take the blame for losing to the 'furds. But, he's only 34 (37 now?)...

Don't forget UGA! They were down seven straight, twice! Although that streak may be over for the foreseeable future.

I take it you've never been a Florida fan living in Tallahassee.

I have not. But, half of my family is FSU fans and the other half is Florida. So I hear about it a lot.

We have that one cousin that's a Miami fan that no one really cares about, because he's still living in the glory days of the U from the 80's.

Now I almost feel bad for all the "realistically" jibes.

Almost. :P

We have no shot with Chaney calling the offense.

Gatas will probably drop a few games, but you still have to get through UGA and USCe, too.

I'd shop a Gator logo in there, but I'm on my phone.

Florida wins the east.

Yep, it's bad. I get the picture guys. :p

But....

0-11 against ranked opponents since Dooley took over. At some point you've crossed the boundary from optimism to delusion my friend.

Though if the rumors of Dooley taking over the play calling are accurate it suggests to me that he officially has his back against the wall which is as good a time as any to see some drastic changes. We'll see I suppose.

I know. :/ I was just telling my dad about that ranked statistic and his mind was blown, we are both so ready for Dooley to be out. I'm about to watch the Dooley media press conference, maybe we will find something out about that rumor.

And the entire freaking states of Nebraska, Ohio, and Michigan.

Its all we have. Hell, even if we had a pro-team, we still have only one love in Nebraska: University of Nebraska sports.

There is a reason why we have sold out every football game since the 60's and every women's volleyball game for years. Pretty much the only thing we don't get behind is men's basketball, since we have sucked for over 15 years now.
