If this game were on the road it would be more indicative of us being "back" or not. But if we were on the road we would have lost.

So is FSU back?

Can't complain about Nebraska's game today, 73-7, and the 7 was given up with the bottom of the bench on the field.

Obviously, you can't really gauge a team well against an FCS team...unless you are Colorado, Michigan, or Kansas!

but honestly, Nebraska hasn't performed this well even against FCS teams in a LONG time.

So is FSU back?

I understand the context of this question, but as I was explaining to the wife just today, I don't like this aspect of cfb. FSU is top 10, and now coming off a win over another top 10. Notre Dame is going to be top 8 next week.

Like how someone posted that SVP quote, "I talk about the SEC because it's relevant; I don't talk about irrelevant things like Notre Dame." What a jackassy, ratings-grab thing to say. Sure, in some grand historical context FSU and Notre Dame are far from "back"; in the context of - I dunno what you call it, I think some people refer to it as "the present," in other circles they refer to it as "right now" - they're both top 10 college football programs, yes. How is this even arguable?

2. For those interested, like me, in muting commentary in favor of natural game atmosphere, I found last week it IS possible - two requirements: you have a surround-sound setup; two, the game itself is in surround-sound. Unplug center speaker, unplug subwoofer, DONE. Full-game audio - the bands, the crowd, the hits - NO COMMENTARY.

I used to do this at my parents house several years back... haven't been able to do it since because I've never paid for cable myself :P

But Louisville almost lost to FIU, which we destroyed. I'm pretty sure FIU is better than FAU too. I'll just pencil us in the orange bowl here.

I am not a college football expert, but after watching FSU's second half tonight, I have to ask....

Who can really match up well with them at this point?

edit: Where do you see Clemson falling? still in the top 20?

Bama's D.

I think Clemson's offense is going to be the fiercest that Florida State will play this year. particularly since they don't play Georgia Tech unless they meet in the ACC championship game, but another strong defense will be able to stop FSU's offense.
