In Detroit here, and I've been getting INCREDIBLY shit speeds for the past day or so. Right now it's at 263/73...and yes that is KiloBITS.

I'm hoping its the chaos before the calm, but I'm not happy. I restarted my modem a couple minutes ago, no change.

Dude, I work at the call center in ann arbor, you need to call and have em ping your modem directly and get someone out there. there is no "chaos before the calm" right now. My speeds are exactly what they should be right now.

Comcast isn't bad... right now my bill is $120 a month which includes HBO, HD-DVR, and Internet. Much better than Qwest, who was charging me $65 a month just for my phone. Ditched Qwest and went to VoIP for $25 a month. Makes that Comcast bill a lot more bearable. ;)

I unplugged my modem and restarted it and I clocked myself at:

3732.8 Kbps - D/L

I'm on Comcast cable modem in Washington, DC. I wonder if it has to do with the amount of people online in my building.
