The same place that 1st party 360 software has been for quite some time: pretty much nowhere to be found outside of Forza and Halo.
As for Sony's launch lineup- keep in mind that Infamous SS was originally supposed to be a launch title, but had to be pushed back. I think they would have been pretty shiny had that not happened. Besides, it's not like XB1 is setting the world on fire with their launch lineup, either.

Oh god. Don't say this. I wasn't planning on buying an Xbox One, but I will HAVE TO if a new Vanquish title ends up being exclusive for it.

Also World of Tanks. No one had guessed that. He's legit. As has been proven time and time again. The Pop thing is pretty much the only thing he's ever got wrong, and it was an honest mistake.

Also, I forgot another little detail.
For the first time since PS2, Sony will not be able to rely on the extra "push" given by putting a next-gen media format in its console.
PlayStation 2 had a DVD reader. PlayStation 3 had a blu-ray reader.
PlayStation 4 won't get this extra selling engine, another "step backwards" in comparison to the situation at the start of the current generation.

The confirmed Xbox One developer on reddit is right.
There are no yield/supply issues.
Microsoft just made a decision to not produce enough consoles to fulfill demand so that they could get curb stomped by their rival.
I mean, why would they try and make sure they would have ample supply for launch? Clearly they don't need a good chunk of Europe...

CBOAT always posts the #truthfacts the only thing I can say from recent memory that he didn't hit was the Prince of Perisa prediction which he(she) either mixed up with the Halo reveal trailer or was pulled at the last minute.

I would say, impossible no, but highly unlikely. PS3 had several things in its court that MS does not that allowed it to pull off a comeback. One, Japan, they still sold respectably in all territories including Japan, while MS is very likely to follow Xbox and 360 in tanking badly in Japan. Two, it was coming off a monumental success with PS2. While 360 has done well for itself, it is no where near overwhelming success territory and when the final unit gets pumped out, all signs are pointing to it being in 3rd sales wise. Third, they had a hardware advantage. It was difficult to access and slight, but it was there. MS on the other hand is at the hardware disadvantage at it is an even larger disadvantage than 360 had, and making matters the worst, this time that advantage is easy to get at.
Could MS possibly over come all this? Yeah, but let's look at them as a company of late. They have been having a streak of failures and no real strong comebacks of late. It isn't looking good for them in this market.
I'd argue that if you'd worked on a project for the past 4 years you'd say that regardless. PR or no PR.

No. I can compare the very same philosophy of tailoring a FPS on a joypad to make a great game (I.E. Golden Eye, Halo, etc...) and tailoring a MOBA on a joypad to make a great game.
Guardians of Middle-Earth has been a fine first example, controls-wise.
To be fair, they do get confirmed by mods over there as well. The user might be an anonymous dev that MS doesn't know the identity of.
His point about yields and preorder numbers doesn't make sense though. The yield issue would limit the amount of units they will be able to produce. That doesn't relate at all to his statement that MS is expected to ship out everything they can produce.

This is the same guy who did a Reddit AMA that was supposed to be "unofficial," yet everything he shared was confirmed, official, 100% PR "news."
It doesn't seem like much of a coincidence that he did that AMA almost immediately after Microsoft talked about how their messaging for Xbone had been terrible and they needed to reach out to the community more.
Seems like a PR person disguised as a Microsoft leaker.
He's just throwing out the "official PR statements". "I haven't heard that we've had yeild problems....what I've heard is that we're launching Nov and we're selling through out initial shipments"........well DUH. But he must have forgot that they dropped from 21 countries down to 13 within a few months.

But because PS4 doesn't have the burden of pushing formats, it allows them to sell the hardware at a cheaper cost. So it's a 'step forwards' in terms of mass market penetration.

That's what keeps me thinking. What type of game is Platinum making that is aimed at a Japanese audience and will only release in Japan? I hope it's something very niche that could only fit to japanese tastes.

But therein lies my point. Forza 5 doesnt look like it needs another year of dev time and Halo is nowhere to be seen. So if Microsoft was planning on launching next year, There would be nothing, not just a little but Nothing from 1st party teams going into hoilday 2013.
Im not seeing it. They may have been caught unaware how organised sony was, but they was always planning some kind of launch in 2013. Maybe they just underestimated how long it would take to get everything ready. The 360 was a very basic console in comoarsion to what they are trying to acheive with the X1.

Its happened once or twice where CBOAT leaked something that ended up being revealed at a later time. Remember Me was that way for example. The impression I get from these sorts of software leaks in general, whether they be from CBOAT or other gaffers, is that the decision to reveal a game at a certain time is often up in the air until the last minute.
But yeah it's very rare for CBOAT to be wrong on something.

You're right, cross play, free games, a push for indies, in game bonuses, etc none of these are signs at trying. If they're not trying then I'm perfectly happy with them not trying this gen too 'cause I love me some PS+
