I was looking at the revenue figures, you could be right and much of that could be PC. But then the German market is also heavily PC focused.I don't know, I've never seen the numbers of consoles sold there. I was under the impression that most of the Russian and Eastern European markets were dominated by PC. And Western Europe is "Sonyland", right?
No two cboat posts read alike.

I don't know how much you know about investigative linguistics (I'm an expert), but vocabulary and sentence structure are huge parts of it. It's not like forging a signature, where you can avoid cross reference-sourcing by deliberately writing differently all the time.

I can't believe how much people bitch that they are "forced" to pay $100 for an impressive piece of tech like the Kinect 2.0. When this thing is sold separately for PC's they are going to charge over $300 for the thing. It does a lot of shit. It ain't like they are gouging.
Sure if you don't want it then whatever I get that part. And as a gadget nerd maybe I'm just blinded by anything this technically impressive. But seriously the first time I watched the behind closed doors of the kinect demo I was like "yeah gettin' that".
Let the 4 of my buddies at the firehouse who are buying XB1s that there is likely to be a version without Kinect early next year according to a reliable insider online. All 4 are cancelling their pre-order to wait for a $300-$350 version without a K2 now. For $300, I'll probably even pick one up.
I just cancelled mine also. I pre ordered last week after they made Kinect not necessary to pug in. When you think about it, everything makes sense. Why did MS suddenly make Kinect optional to plug in? "Whispers of non-Kinect model". I was fine buying a Kinect included model at launch, but if they aren't going to support it through the X1's lifetime, then I'm out.
Wow, this post has declined into a Sony loyalist party clubbing the pro-xbox one posts with downvoting. .... anyway XboxOneDev's reply is much appreciated although a bit glossy but I suppose he's not in a position to release anything substantial, a response from the major would be good but then he's in PR so no-one will listen to him either..... Let's hope gamescom clears some of this up!
I've probably already been downvoted -.-
Kamiya is hilarious, dont know if I buy that part, but the rest sounds true, the PG part just sounds weird....
That thread is insane. lol

PG takes contracts from any publisher willing to fund their games. Whats so weird about that?
How many gaming website do you think will report this Tomorrow GAF?
I CAN'T BREATHE
Reddit is losing it right now. They can't handle this train.
Is this for real?
Oh boy.
Ahahaha, some of these dudes are crazy.
Somebody's being too serious, alright.
If there was a kinectless sku in the works, the developers must be told so asap so Kinect is treated as an optional peripheral.
How long has this bible/GAF crossover been a thing? Is it recent or has it been around a while?
I ask because I hadn't seen it until recently (and I wrote a CBOAT-related "Book of GAF" post a few days back that I thought was all original and shit).
It thought the point of not region locking was not having exclusive games for region x?
That thread is insane. lol
Man, I saw this thread when it had about 3 pages earlier today - insane how much it's blown up
My opinion doesn't really matter, but here it is anyways. I think Microsoft is making a bad move making a Kinectless SKU. Yes, I agree, the mandatory Kinect is dumb; but ensuring it was included meant that developers could guarantee that every xboner would have a Kinect. Now? The marketplace will be segmented, if this is true. That means no-one will care to develop anything truly exceptional for Kinect, which is a little sad considering how awesome the technology actually is in that thing.
Oh well, we'll see what happens.
#truthfact
region locking is so that if you want to play a game that was only released in territories other than yours, and you have a legal means of obtaining a copy, there's no technical limitation keeping you from playing that software.
now, the game might only have a foreign language, and you won't be able to read anything or understand what people are saying, but you're more than welcome to try playing it anyway.
releasing a game in just one territory is due to budget constraints as well as what the target market is. the publisher might not have the money to pay for localization to other territories, so they just release in the one it was created in.
Pretty sure it started on like page 42 of this thread lol.
Platinum is big in Japan? Still think MS need some huge and interesting RPG, not action game, if they want to "try" to be relevant in Japan.
I actually find SPELLING it JIF far more offensive than pronouncing it that way. It's like if you insisted on spelling tomahto instead of tomato, you're just making yourself look like an ass.I think I need to go SSJ9001 in order to appropriately laugh at this fine, like aged-wine-JIF image.
PS: if you rage because I said "JIF" add your tears to my jacuzzi. It's how I stay youthful.

Gamestop/Microsoft recently announced a special program where you can trade in your 360 versions of particular games, and get $50 credit towards the XB1 version. One of those games is Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Why would Microsoft ever create such a program if the XB1 was going to be out anywhere near the launch of Ghosts, on Nov 5th?
This program existing makes me think the earliest we're gonna see the XB1 is mid November.
Thanks, I only play Nintendo and PC, so I really dont get region locking, thanks for clarifying it.
Makes some more sense now
On another note, MS looks screwed.
True, but how would you feel as a developer if your game turns out to be unplayable on a console sku released 6 months later? It would turn into an ass storm! That's a double edged sword. If the SKU sans Kinect 2 was planned for sometime later than launch, then that would risk the information getting out and could negatively affect sales(potentially a big impact) at launch, with the K2 packed in. It looks pretty bad for the image of a console to have units on shelves at launch.
