Comfy snowfall in games?

Fifa/EA FC is always good - orange ball, players skidding - feels like Christmas. Consecrated snowfield was nice in Elden Ring.

Otherwise Red Dead 2 is pretty ace for it.

I think it's used to great effect in Frostpunk. There's always something satisfying about heating a section and watching the snow melt outwards from the heat points.

I really like it in Mafia II's second chapter even if it does not look impressive.

I also like it inside Flanoir in Tales of Symphonia.

I found it impressive in Days Gone as well.

In The Last of Us Part II, they conveyed the cold so well leading up to the underground weed bunker that it actually did feel like a safe haven.

My favorite snow area in any game. The music makes it so nostalgia. Was the best part about playing Metroid Prime Remastered and revisiting that part 20 years later.

Damn, no metal gear solid. You guys are sleeping at the wheel.

Anyways, KH2 Nightmare Before Christmas North Pole was cool.

Assassins Creed 3 had some very comfy snow. I think that game is super underrated but it's probably just me.
Lost Planet is not comfy but a very bitter harsh snow feel.

There's a complete English translation out there for it. I played the physical Japanese version and went by the very detailed guide on GameFAQs. Maybe I'll play it again someday.

Permanently deformable snow in 2001. If you slammed a character into a tree, snow would fall and replenish any displaced snow on the ground.
Snow in modern fighting games tends to be a flat surface texture with some temporary footprint effects layered on top.
