COMICS! l OT l September in 3, 2, 1, Zero issues

I get in the habit of wanting to buy the trades for books i liked but not loved. It is a bad habit. Current books that fit that category: Green Lantern, Action Comics, Justice League. That's why the digital combos with print issues is helping, i'll have something to reread if i choose to but won't pay the extra money for the trade since i didn't really love it.

Also, Winter Soldier #9 was great, i haven't really liked this series initially but its picked up nicely.

Conversing on Comics with 'Empowered' creator Adam Warren (CBR)

Great article. It's really amazing to think that after five years of "sexy superhero comedy" hijinks, Adam is now working on VOLUME EIGHT of Empowered, lining up a continuing series of one-shots, AND talking with Dark Horse about more Emp proliferation. You have no idea how happy this makes me to see Adam being apparently successful, and I can't wait to see where things go from here... Empowered cartoon series, here we come!

Question for ya'll, I want to get a tablet to read comics on but I really can't afford the damn iPad. My friend uses the earlier model Kindle Fire and likes it but the screen doesn't seem like an ideal size.

Anyone in here have experience using other tablets for reading comics? Any products you'd recommend? I'm really only going to be using it for comics, Netflix, and web browsing.

I own an Asus transformer (first gen - tf101), its great for reading comics. I also do everything you listed and although it is not exactly the zippiest thing around it is more than serviceable.

I'd go with the $299 8.9'' Kindle Fire HD coming out in November, barring reviews and whether or not Comixology is going to make higher resolution comics available like they do with Ipad hd since the 8.9'' model actually has an hd-er screen than the 7'' model. Since the Kindle Fire is taller than wider it might not have thick borders on the sides of the comics like they do on my touchpad.
 
There's no way at all Jean could possibly be the Dark Phoenix on the cover to AvX, right? Or that she could be coming back via this at all, right? They couldn't keep something like that a secret at all, right? I mean, these guys let all kinds of stuff slip early, so there's no way they could possibly hold back on that. Plus they're bringing "Jean from the Past" up so why have Actual Jean come back now? And the whole storyline has been Hope Hope Hope, so they wouldn't want Jean to be, well, Phoenix and Hope Apollo where her return completely eclipses the latter and makes you question the point of her.

So basically Jean Grey isn't coming back and I can stop hoping, right?

October is Point One and Uncanny Avengers, November is a lot a lot , December is the Avengers and more, January is even more, February is New Avengers and probably more.

Yes! Stegman is fantastic. I just want him back on Scarlet Spidey but I get that his greatness can't be contained.
