Same I wouldn't be surprised if they use it for the movie.

I think that's why they went with that costume change, getting the ball rolling for the film version next year

THAT said, if it's true that Zoe Saldana is suppose to be Gamora, I wouldn't mind the old costume just this once!

Is Ultimate Fantastic four worth reading for Doom?

I just really like these panels from it.

Trinity War details

DC’s Trinity War is officially on the way this summer, running six issues in just two months, July and August 2013, as DC Comics announced via the USA Today website Sunday.

Justice League of America, Justice League, and Justice League Dark will play host to the summer event from DC instead of a traditional separate mini-series. Geoff Johns will write Justice League chapters alone, Jeff Lemire joins as co-writer for Justice League of America, and Lemire writes the Justice League Dark chapters on his own. Ivan Reis and Joe Prado, Doug Mahnke, and Mikel Janin are the series artists, respectively.

Well, one big concern after the disappointing Rotworld was pacing. That may not be a problem, at least. Now there's the whole "Likely to suck" thing to worry about.

Lemire everywhere :lol

nooooooooo

JLA is the perfect storm of being really shitty and earnest at the same time. Mahnke is legitimately good and Lemire sure as hell can't do earnest... alas, poor Justice League of America....

Definitely getting trinity war, I'm glad it's short but this will probably be a trainwreck due to how they abandoned pandora for so long.

What do you call Sweet Tooth/Essex County/Underwater Welder? Cynical?

Nah, I mean that kind of Geoff Johns-style earnestness. Where the approach to something like Aquaman is to make him a joke in-universe as well. Or something like the various Lantern Corps - like, that guy genuinely seems to think that's a good idea, right?

Also, I was talking about his work-for-hire stuff, which I've found to be universally competent, but not much more.

Trinity War seems so odd since it's really unclear what it's even about. Just various characters randomly fighting each other.

Can't wait to see how they collect it.

is it weird that im expecting it to be bad based solely on the fact that it's on SyFy?
It's not... It's for NBC.

But pandora.....she was in one page's background of each book a year ago. She's an enigma.

If new 52 turns out to be the longest running DC con I will just laugh.

Imagine new 52 was a "flashpoint" alternate reality, just never advertised as such. That's obviously not the case bu the fanboy screams make it amusing to imagine.

And they originally said they were going to tell Pandora's story in the pages of Justice League. Now she's being relegated to her own book, which, given DC's track record, is probably going to get cancelled inside of a dozen issues.

And only 1 issue, maybe 2, will be out before Trinity War starts. It all feels like the start of a lead up than the culmination of various stories. Maybe Johns will do with the Justice Leagues what he did with Green Lantern; event leading into event.

Only six issues over only two months? Seems like it was significantly scaled down from whatever was planned when the FCBD teaser last year was put together, but that might be for the best.

I really like what DC has been doing with the format of these past two events, Throne of Atlantis and Trinity War. Keeping them short and sweet makes it much more enticing to pick up.

I tend to stay away from Marvel events because they drag. I have picked up the first four issues of age of ultron and its pretty frustrating when you realize they all could have easily fit in one issue.

I loved Johns on Action Comics, but i think a Johns Superman today would be similar to the New Krypton stuff that made me drop the book than the previous arcs i liked.

Yeah, that's about the time I lost interest too. That's why I would like a Johns run focused more on just a few books, without the massive crossover. That Action run was just sogood.gif.

Pandora should have had an ongoing in the second wave and trinity war after a year. DC couldn't have had an actual plan with this.

Warren Ellis + Stuart Immonen and Mike Carey + Pasqual Ferry issues are all excellent
Really liked the Doom arc, Immonen is excellent. Nice take on the character, too - one of my only complaints about Millar's run (GLAND) was the swift 616-ing of the character.

Marvel just made a huge content update for Unlimted this week, 293 books....Hulk Stay Angry arc, some more avengers academy/invincible iron cat, and a lot of Journey into Mystery that i was waiting for. Now if only they'd make the app full screen.

All of those 9-13 book weeks last winter have been made up for in the past month or so. I think they have added around 500 books to the service since the iOS app went live. A lot of recent stuff too.
