Looking at how powerful Diana was when she removed her bracelets, is that something carried over into the rest of the New 52 series? The powers, the Gods' family squabbles and the whole structure of the series makes it seem like a non-cape book.
I feel like lettering is one those really unsung aspects, I think a lot of thought goes into their placement, their look, what words gets dat bold emphasis. All that shit really affects the reading experience. I've seen some gorgeous comics fucked up by wack lettering, like all that cursive shit that looks damn near unreadable in early 90s Batman comics that was hot for a minute post-Year One.
Trying unlimited with the Penny promo. I am not an avid comics reader
That is changing
I have rushed 6 years of Ultimate Spiderman in 5 days.
Oh my. What a value
We need a "Do It For Her" image with pictures of Harley Quinn
I cant stop buying these things!
Dustin Harbin's lettering on Casanova is superb (don't open the second image in sensitive environments):

Yea you can buy all 5 issues for the cost of the cover price of the first issue.speaking of, Deadpool vs stuff is on sale and having read the first two issues on MU, Hawkeye vs Deadpool seems pretty good and worth other people buying with money

They should give ms marvel a cartoon. Have the cap mar show up from time to time.
I would watch it
That whole plot point is why I can't stand young Jean. I don't know why It hasn't been raked over the coals like Remender's m word speech. It's so awkwardly done, so invasive and cruel what Jean/Bendis did. Then of course people are confused with current bobby and Bendis shuffles his feet and goes...uh resolved soon! And flees.
I have no problem if they want to make bobby gay, but you don't have Jean once again violate his thoughts, then out him in public, then use stupid terms like full gay, like she would know. It wasn't positive, or progressive it was ham fisted and done for shock value with no thought of the ripple effects.
You could have easily had the same story beat where Jean picks up on some things, and just starts to talk to bobby one on one. And over time Bobby starts to resolve his feelings and behaviors. And then him on his own terms tells people and it was with his friends help realized it. And finally Jean could have done something nice and positive for her friends for a change.
The way it reads it could easily be interpreted that Jean is disgusted by Bobbys behavior and uses her powers to convince him he's gay. And hell in not convinced Bendis Jean wouldn't do that.
Well said.
Thread from when it happened was fuckin' disgraceful too, tbh. People honestly tryin' to debate that shit like come on.1
I think a hidden talent of good comics artists is to anticipate word balloon integration so it flows nicely. I've read some complaints from letterers about the way that artists arrange their characters that gives me pause when I draw.I feel like lettering is one those really unsung aspects, I think a lot of thought goes into their placement, their look, what words gets dat bold emphasis. All that shit really affects the reading experience. Ive only read up to the end of trial of Jean Grey, so with that in mind, while I dont think you're wrong about her not facing many of the consequences she should due to her actions, I think the cast in the book tend to contextualize her as a kid making shitty decisions. She gets called out on it and some of her relationships deteriorate because of it. Young Cyclops finds out he's gonna marry her and then decides he better bail to hang with his pops.Fine. But it never comes back to bite her. Everyone goes "oh Jean" shakes their head and moves on. And then treat her as the most important xmen in the history of ever at every moment. And Bendis makes every story primarily about her
"It's like true love in the Munich Olympics."
Lol god damn Bojack.
LOL YASSSSSSS
I think I caught 4 hours of the show yesterday and I didn't want to stop. It's really fantastic.
Okay guys I just got Marvel Unlimited, so please recommend me some comics series to read . (Preferably comics about each of the characters that will be part of the All New, All Different Marvel booms).
Ugh I just blew my comic budget for the month on an arcade stick. Good thing I have a realitively large backlog to go through.
Some great recommendations in this thread from Zombine.

Hawkeye vs Deadpool is very much worth CMX sale prices. It's much fun.
