Elephantmen sale on CMX! I would partake if I didn't already have it all. It's some good pulp sci-fi with big animal people if you're into that sort of thing. This book also uses them as a way to discuss racism.

Still crack me up that they went from Marvel Now!, to All-New, All-Different Marvel, and then to Marvel Now 2.0! Can't wait for Marvel Now 3.0 after Legacy.

San Francisco was a weird-ass time for X-Men, wasn't it? The post-Messiah CompleX/pre-Utopia.

Reading Manifest Destiny, and seeing the X-Men build an embassy and appealing to the mayor is just weird. Borderline Silver-Age weird.

Yep, yep, yep. I've been rereading the last ten years of X-Men on MU for the last two months. I was going to do a big post about it when I was finished, but, well, spoilers - a big chunk was going to be "what the fuck was going on around X-Men 500????"

It's tonally all over the place. Is this the bit that was rumoured to be ghost written by Land as well as drawn by him? I love me some porn comics, but the plot makes no sense whatsoever and the bit with Emma and Cyclops getting it on in the dungeon they find is just like... what???

It's because he traces everything and is to lazy to change and just defaults to it no matter what so you get some ill fitting faces

I also heard he traces from porn and you can sometimes tell or suspect it

I was kind of down on this book at the start, but the first arc or stint of this book went out guns blazing in a nice issue of action and character. This book ended up really turning around on me.

Super Sons

I really really hope this is finally the end of Damien and Jon fighting. This is now 7 issues of it when it was supposed to have been kind of dealt with in the Rebirth issue with Nobody. It's starting to feel like the first few Green Lanterns where literally the only dialogue is them bickering.

I ann now seriously thinking about going digital. Buying floppies is just too expensive

My plan is to buy an iPad Pro via no iterest financing. Then, I will use the various subscription services. ComiXology being at the top of the list.

I do like some stuff on Aftershock, Boom, and Dark Horse. Are their any publishers outside the top two that are not good on a subscription basis? I honestly don't even know what is included with ComiXology Unlimited.

No clue how America survives with these numbers and reception.

Also, homaging classic covers for every book sounds like a bad idea if they're trying to attract new readers who don't care about that.

They also still haven't said why we should trust things to be different this time. They haven't even said they did things wrong.

If you are getting a tablet to read comics I recommend getting one that is at least 10.5".
I have a Galaxy Tab S and it's almost perfect, but I wouldn't go smaller.

Bigger screen the better.

I think the Dr Strange movie was something for its visual effects, but the story kept it in the lower tier of the Marvel movies. Theres only so many times you can rehash the same origin story over and over again and that was a pretty good example of the same kind of story.

I read first issue of Peter Parker Spider Man, I actually thought it was a lot of fun, had some really good humour as you'd expect from Chip. Kept a pretty light tone and had some nice art. Think it just needs to develop the story to go with the setting and humour now and it could be a good read. Looks like they could be starting with that with the last page. I liked the first look of his new love interest as well, I like when Peter has a women to spark off/joke with, think it works really well. Maybe I just really appreciated the whole thing though as I've never been a fan of Slott spider-man. I don't know, just for many reasons his runs never been for me.

Ah, I thought iPad Pro was a big size. I assume a Galaxy Tab S is actually cheaper? What is the better screen for resolution/clarity?

Some of those covers are really insipid as fuck. Lots are far inferior to the originals.

Read most of the new free X-Men issues. They're pretty solid across the board. People like Jean Grey, right?

Also, I like that Jubilee has finally gotten promoted to having a team to mentor, but I'm surprised they haven't dropped the vampire thing yet.
