From the article, ""The media surrounding this story reached the point where it took away from the actual work, and that's something I wasn't comfortable with."

Sounds like it wasn't necessarily that he thought it was wrong, but that the he was quite likely being harassed by people.

I personally don't get all the hoopla myself. Yeah, I realize that OSC is a bigot and has viewpoints I don't agree with, but his actual writing is pretty damn good. Ender's Game is hands down one of my favorite books ever. I loved it before I knew he was who he was. I can't retroactively go back and change my opinion.

I don't like Republican's. I think their policies are destructive. Should I avoid the works of Right Leaning Writers?

get ready to have all other comics ruined for you. read 1 issue a day, btw. it's one of the only current comics better read in singles than straight through.

Contemplating actually picking up the trade as well, since Fraction said that there's some bonus Aja stuff in it. May cop after my HT Black Widow figure arrives next week.

I already have Hawkeye in floppies and digitally so I don't need either a trade or omnibus.

...This is more of a case of I want due to potentially more Aja artwork in the trade, even if they're just bonus sketches.

I'll probably flip through anyways to see if I will or not.

You don't have to...unlike Ender's Game or whatever but in the end I really don't think liking/not liking his work has much do with it? Unlike Sim (since he's a pretty poor dude now I think), Card is actively trying to oppress people with money he earns from this stuff and that's... not cool. Yeah, in the greater scheme of things, doing this Superman comic isn't gonna be a big of a deal as the Ender's Game movie but I don't think it should be ignored either.

Comes out tomorrow, technically, but that site puts all their new shit up on Tuesday afternoon/night. But yeah, the art is the reason I wanted it. But it's been delayed over and over.

If anything its a testament to what a difference a flexible timetable can make for the quality of an artists work. Not having to be bound by a monthly schedule. <3 BD.

Then again, you could also end up with what happened with Travis Charest and the Metabarons lol. 8 years or so for like...30 or 40 pages IIRC. Didn't even finish the book...

How is that even possible? Almost a decade and that's all he comes up with? Pretty embarrassing.

I love Dodson's work, though. He's definitely one of my favorite artists.
