Think i'm about to dive into Batman: Year One. Is this considered a good comic? Haven't heard much about it. I'm flipping through and i see that this artist really dug David Aja's Hawkeye. May as well steal from the best, I guess. I'll keep expectations low just in case.

Yeah, the writing is pretty derivative as well. You can tell he straight up stole a lot of his style from Brubaker.
I hope you can manage to find some enjoyment from Year One though.

Like ten different specific things about it went through my head that I considered mentioning as highlights of the arc, but then I realized I'd pretty much just end up summarizing everything that happened if I tried to mention highlights. Everything about that arc is amazing.

Also, more people need to get on this Preacher reading/rereading train. If you haven't read Preacher before, get in on this.

I like year one even better than DKR. The art is just so good and it has this wonderfully downbeat tone. One of the best comics ever.

And I really hope your Aja comment is a joke pleeeeeease

But yeah, seriously. All the profanity and vulgarity is just a little bit of spice on top of the meat and potatoes that is the character development and dialogue.

Oh, very nice. I'm very happily surprised that other people happen to be reading it at the same time as me. That always makes the experience more fun.
Also, how great was the Salvation arc? That's the arc that has the fondest memories for me. It's such a fantastic little detour. I feel like I could do with a whole other series dedicated to

Didn't have a chance to dig into my latest order until last night. I'm honestly really enjoying Original Sin so far, but I do recall a lot of you guys not being thrilled with how it wrapped up. I just finished Hulk vs. Iron Man which was pretty good.

Pretty annoying that the rest of the tie-ins weren't released on the same day but I'll put The 10th Realm on my second order later this month.

Oh yeah the inside cover is nice.
