I think that's the Joker. I think he had plastic surgery. I think he made himself look like young Bruce.

He looks really cool. Did he get plastic surgery though? Or did his wounds heal and he just painted over the scarring? His lips are incredibly tiny.

I don't know, I just pulled out my Zero Year issues and he looks nothing like Alfred and aside from the same shaved on the sides, longer on the top dapper hair cut that's all the rage these days, I'm not seeing the resemblance to Bruce.

Omg classic harley. Pls stay forever.

I can see current Harley wanting to be with sexy ass Bruce Joker. Best of both worlds. Manlyness of Bruce and Insanity of Joker/good in the sack i'd assume.

That dc convergence tease has reawakened my pre 52 wounds. Steph as batgirl, Babs in the chair, Montoya!, the Lois/Supes marriage! I want them all. Please come back pre 52

Just read last week's Chew. This book is just perfect. And it's going straight to a great finale soon. I think.
There was also a nice Manhattan Projects reference in there.

Oh man. I'd completely forgotten about the Vietnam issue in Preacher. Absolutely incredible. I think that issue could be my favorite comic about a war that Ennis has done (which is saying a lot).
Preacher is too good.

Does anyone know what projects James Stokoe currently has in the works? I just reread his Avengers 100th Anniversary issue again and I want more!

No idea, but I really hope he's doing something. He's one of my favorites.
You've read Godzilla: Half-Century War, right?

Y'all bought the wrong video game today, shoulda bought Lego Batman 3.

What's the gameplay like? I really, really want that game to be something I'd enjoy, because it seems like the best ever.

I didn't buy shit today. Not with Dragon Age and Far Cry next week. Then the new Guilty Gear game in early December.... LEGO Batman 3 will be under the Xmas tree, though.

Ooh yes. I'd forgotten about the new Guilty Gear. Has there been any news of a PC port?

Yeah, man... it's the only Godzilla comic I've ever bothered reading. I think I've read most everything he's done, outside of Orc Stain, which I'm only about halfway through.

I want him to get more work doing weird stuff with Marvel( and DC)'s universes, even if they're just one-shots here and there.

Good, good. Just making sure. Haha
I still need to read Orc Stain and Wonton Soup. And Sullivan's Sluggers.

But yeah, I'd love to see that too. Seeing more Big Two stuff from his perspective would be fantastic.

No you fucking don't. That book is just bad karma sitting on my shelf. I would easily say it's the worst story I've ever read. Shit actually offended me it was so fucking awful.

And yeah, it's got Stokoe's art, but even that isn't up to his usual stuff. Coloring is kind of shit.

Ah, well that's very good to know then! Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, I heard the same thing, which is why I never bothered to pick it up. It's a damn shame.

Nice impressions. I was actually thinking the same thing regarding Dillon's art when I was reading Preacher today. It's kind of funny, because most artists' best work comes later when their style is fully developed. However, because Dillon's "style" is basically faces that all look identical, his work on Preacher (where his "style" wasn't fully developed yet) is some of his best stuff. With that said, I still love Dillon's more recent stuff as well. The similar faces thing doesn't really bother me at all.

But yeah, I read three or four issues of Preacher already today (plan to read more in a bit) and I don't really have anything specific to say except that I'm still absolutely loving it. Such good comics.

My Dillon experience is limited to his Marvel work and not his Punisher, but Preacher is just so damn expressive and good

Preacher 5-7, where we meet officer Bridges and officer Tool. Hmm...

Starting to get a better feel on Jesse and the gang. They are getting more likable,
"Can't all be Fuckers"
heh.

New York story was too good, on to the next.

edit - Why does the real thing look better than the second pic?

Because it's REEEEEEAAAAAALLLLLLL. Second pic is done with specific lighting to show the piece looking as good as possible.

So, DCBS has the Mera Bombshell statue up for pre-order. I'm debating. Don't know if I 100% need her like I do the Lois Bombshell.
