Man, I had some great reading today.
I finished The Immortal Iron Fist Complete Collection Vol. 1 today, that was fantastic. Great artwork, great writing, great world-building, just loved it.
I also read the Throne of Atlantis storyline from Justice League and Aquaman, and yeah, I think I'm an Aquaman fan for life now.

"Has blank covers, will buy" continues for me. Plus Wonder Woman is still a 2.99 book somehow so 2.54 isn't bad for extra blanks.

I know it's just people walking down stairs, but everything about that second page is masterful and impressive and is making me more excited than I initially was.
Also, Morrison is pretty polite for not answering that EW question with "Have ye fuckers not seen what Quitely and I have done for the past 2 damn decades?"

Thinking back on Preacher 1-12, about the nature of the book and how crude it is sometimes, I don't think I would have appreciated this book as much if I read this when I was younger. I'm kind of glad I waited so long to read it and happy to see people in this thread continue to praise and recommend it.

What's going on here? The dialogue feels incomplete/weird.
LOL that's not what I meant but now that I reread it, I can see how it came off that way. I meant it as, I know it was hyped because Quitely is drawing it, but the actual content and direction Grant is taking the issue seems good too.
I've already talked about how I don't mind Quitelys work, and actually love a lot of the stuff both him and Grant have done together. We3 and All Star Superman are definitely big standouts to me.

Quitely's been working on Multiversity brah...like, they announced Morrison/Quitely Pax Americana back in 2011 or some shit. They had to show some pencil pages at Morrisoncon 2012 just to let people know it still existed, nigga is just hella slow

No, one of the reasons Multiversity has taken so long is actually because Quitely has been working on it for a really long time. (I mean there are other things too, Morrison being busy, Jim Lee drawing an issue but Quitely has had the script for years)

You can probably count the artists that are slower than him on one hand.
Travis Charest is king of that shit. Even euro publishers kick him off books since he's too slow. To be fair, he might be the greatest artist ever.
I'm glad my favorite artists can knock that stuff out at a regular pace. Aja aside. But that dude has nothing on Quitely. It must be frustrating if you are a fan of his.

The first issue felt like it was over way too fast. It felt like one third of an opening issue. I'm not sure I want to go back for more. Maybe I'll get the trade if I hear it turns out well.
